Default Hiccup at 80...

I was running down the interstate at 80mph 1/2 way thru a 5 hr trip when I crossed a bridge seam that upset the car a little. That is when panic set in. Four dash lights came on (light out indicator / Antilock warning indicator/ Oil level ind. light + ESP indicator) and the car shut off when all the lights came on for about 2-3 seconds (RPM dropped from 3k to 2K). Then it all came back on and the lights went out . All exept the ESP flashed 3-4 x and then stayed on. I pressed the ESP button and then the ESP light went off. The car ran fine the next 2 hrs. Is there some thing i should look into or just let it go. I have had the car for 8 months with no issues. ( 2nd owner , 51k ,srt-6)

If ever there was a place to find great people with helpful answers, this is that place. I'm sure you'll get many helpful responses, but this may or may not be one of them. This exact thing happened to me a few months prior to additional symptoms showing up. Eventually my car started showing all of the signs of the "RCM soldier problem." It would stall and I'd drift to the side of the road, only to wait a good time before it would turn over and restart. I did the "fix" described here on the forum and have not had any of the sympotoms for the past 3 thousand miles. Good luck.

yeah, could be that, but the bounce from the seam is the catalyst, so check your battery posts to make sure they're on tight. one could have momentarily lost contact.

Thanks to all. I will search your thread. I got 20k + 2yrs left on the warranty, so I have some time if it turns into an issue. . I 'll watch out for other issues.

Be careful soldering it. First try, I put too much solder on it and it flowed too far. Had to cut it out, clean it up and try again.

Glad we could help.
