what's the average MPG on a SRT-6?
Re: what's the average MPG on a SRT-6?
Double standards, or sign of the times?
I found it interesting that after nearly 2 dozens responses to the OP's gas mileage question, not one person felt the need to remind us all of the SRT's sporting capabilities.
Over two years ago I did a 440 mile gas mileage test (just for fun) on my lowly NA car, and one person felt compelled to bring it to my attention that it was a sports car for Gods sake. While another guy thought that anybody concerned with gas mileage should sign away their manhood, and get a hybrid.
Good to know we've come so far, and became so much more accepting in such a short time.

But I waited to see what others had to say. I must say that I am surprised at the relatively good mileage people are reporting considering how spirited driving these cars inspire.
Re: what's the average MPG on a SRT-6?
I am very concerned with MPH when the Po-Po's are around.
I have been driving my SRT more lately and loving every minute of it.
I get 20.xx consistantly with 42 miles of highway between me and work and 10 stoplights scattered along that distance. This is a Fantastic commuter car. Everytime the wheels break loose at 50mph leaving a stop light, I really hate the fact that it only gets 20.xx and think I should be driving a hybrid instead.
My only regret, not buying 2. One to keep in the garage and drive only on weekends and one to drive everyday. Maybe next year I will add to the stable....
