Pulleys
Pulleys
I was wondering if I could get some info on pulley kits.
There are two companies offering pulley kits for $999, one includes a tune, and the other one does not.
The one company that includes a tune has the option for a 181mm or a 185mm pulley, and the other company only offers is a 178mm pulley.
One seems more popular than the other(the 178mm pulley is more popular), and I am not sure which one to go with.
I have to say, the one company offering the tune with their kit seem like a better deal.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank you
Rick

Re: Pulleys
Well Rick, i went with the eurocharged 185mm pulley and tune, just waiting for the spring to come so i can get to installing it, as well as my own dual cold air intake, and supercooler. If you dont plan on doing a cold air intake and upgrading your intercooler system, i would say the 178mm would be the best to go for a few more hp
Re: Pulleys
I went the 178mm route since I saw a lot of people here on the forum with that setup. I'm not trying to be the fastest or anything, I just wanted a nice bump for enjoyment purposes. Also, I am holding off for now on any additional cooling upgrades. I also live in a warm climate most of the year here in Florida, so that's another consideration of mine. The 185 from what I have read produces more heat than the 178, which from what I'm told will necessitate a super cooler even more than with the 178.
I don't know the hp difference between 178 and 185mm pulleys with a proper tune, so I can't comment on it.

Re: Pulleys
The tune makes the car perform so much better. Its a night and day difference from a 178mm running stock to a 185mm w our tune.
The tune helps shifting, drivability, torque, etc etc. Plus you always want to have the best software on the car with any mod you do.
No brainer as we are offering it free with pulley purchase lately, with free reflashes for as long as you own the car...
