Default SRT-6 engine in a Prowler

If this engine had been in my Prowler I never, never, never would have sold it.

At Woodward Ave. last August, Sandman50 and I came out of the Lodge Saturday night and found 3 guys checking all of our cars parked together at the restaurant. They really liked them and asked us dozens of questions about em.
One of the guys gave me his card, and it had his "Hemi" powered red Prowler on it.
So there should be no problem "fitting" an SRT6 in it's engine bay. But getting all the electronics to work would be another story.
Who you gonna call.......RuTaz Inc.

Funny that you mention that, my dad an i were just talking about this a few weeks ago. The prowler would of been a much funner car if it had more umph. My aunt has one of the original purple ones, we took it out for a spin once. It was nice, sounded good, but just wished it had more power. The tires are soo wide on the back, its almost impossible to spin them with the sandard 3.5L.

There was a guy somewhere on the net that i found who put the 6.1 in the powler.

Place in Dallas that will loan you a Prowler while they swap out your motor and exhaust for a crate v8.
If I remember right they did short blocks only.

I have a freind that moved to Dallas,, got a job there and now they do turn key installs, i was going to have a caddy 550 hp engine installed into a sky, the cost was 71,000.00 and they supply the new sky. or solstice if i supply the car the cost was 48,000.00 ,, maybe i'll call him and get a price of a hemi installed into a prowler. jim

After a bit of rummaging around in my favourites tab, i found the old thread and the shop that did the conversion. Looks like fun
Slap a supercharger on that badboy, and you would have the ultimate permagrin

the prowler was more of a cruiser anyway but would have loved abit more power from a supercharger. turns out the dang srt6 is more rare than the prowler, hope their values increase with time, now that i have one that is. plus this has a trunk at least.
