I bought my srt4 new in 05 and used to frequent srtforums quite a bit. Over the years I've lost track of how many have been totaled or just ruined with cheap mods. The forum eventually became untolerable and the equivolent of an aol chatroom. I sincerely hope this car doesnt follow the same path but I dont believe it will.
You'll see mine around Atlanta. I drive down I-75 nearly every day from
Cobb County into the city. Usually early morning rush hour, and again
around 12:00 noon. I've seen a couple SRTs around, but most of what
I see are Base and/or Limited coupes and roadsters. Most other times
you may see me around US41 between Kennesaw and Acworth.

Hi All, I'm from down under and i just both a 30K Kms convertible srt6, I'm loving every bit of this car.
We are far away and far late on anything happening in USA so I'm starting while many already left the passion for this cars.
Let me tell you after 19 sport cars including @ WRX's (STI) a 500HP 6.2 holden and many more I'm exited about this very rare car in Aust.
To my knowledeg is Only 18 SRT6 in Aust and only a few of those Convertible's. I got a black one and extremelly happy with it.
I already started with some mod's and lokking forward to get to the Max potential for street car.
So there you go, in away I'm lucky because the knodlege is bast and plenty of After market parts available.
Regards to all Mate!!

Dallas 2005 SRT-6 Aero Blue Convertible, with 63,000 miles. I see one every once in a while but I can't even remember the last time I did. I'm in my 20's and it's pretty much old people who actually know what the car is and compliment me on it. (Or mechanics, who usually get excited saying they have never actually gotten to work on one). It has its share of maintenence issues (supercharger cooling, back window falling out (whole top had to be replaced...but hey that fixed the leak that Chrysler could never get rid of), headlights drooping and needed to be replaced, parking break quit working, ....). My friends have tried to get me to get rid of it but I just can't.....!!

FWIW - I am a 21 year old driver and I ensure you my car will remain pristine. Then again, I drove for a living for 2 years, and I work for everything I have. The real problem will be the kids whose parents buy the cars for them. If you can't appreciate the work that goes into paying for the XF, it won't get treated properly. Like a rental car.

I ask this because I got mine July 25, 2010 and I have only seen one other SRT since then.

Darbs

Please respond to the link listed below and add your VIN# and color. This will enable us to "track" the SRT6 models that were manufactured.

Thanks,

Dennis

I live in Kalamazoo, MI I have an SRT6 black roadster with under 10.000 miles garaged kept and only driven in the summer. It is in excellent condition
with 178 pully; ecu tuned with a needswings single cai and all the original parts. The IC pump has been replaced although the original was still working. I also have an extended Chrysler warranty. The only replacement work done was the IC pump which I did myself and the seal for the transmission leak done by dealership. Contact me if interested.

Hello all, thought this would be as good a tread as any for my first post. Just picked up my Graphite SRT-6 with 25,--- on the odo! Found it at a Hyundai dealership of all places... wonder what they traded it in for?

Only thing done to the car are the TSW "Cadwell" wheels and a flip up radio/navi setup. Maybe the previous owner was a forum member? I'll have to check the vin. This is in SoCal BTW, does the car look familiar to anyone?

side note - Can anyone pm me an online store for oem replacement parts? I'm trying to track down a trim piece on the dash, so oem exploded view with part#'s style site would be great!

First link in this thread has a plethora of Crossfire and SRT documentation including service manuals with part numbers. Great place to start.

Welcome to the forum.

I live in Houston and have an Aero Blue Coupe with 8k miles - completely stock. I have never seen another SRT6 in Houston but see an occasional Crossfire (non srt6) from time to time. I wonder when the prices will start climbing with the diminishing supply?

I wonder the same thing.
I bought my SSB SRT6 convertible because of the low production numbers and IMHO it was a huge bargain when considering the sum of its parts....."MB","AMG".
I bought my car long distance, from a Chrysler dealer in Minnesota who sold it new to a female doctor. ....I live in Massachusetts.
A co-worker bought a Crossfire when they 1st hit the market. Her serial production number is something like 33 or 35. While talking to her about it, she made a statement which prompted me to learn more about Crossfires. The statement was ," My car was built in Germany, but now they build them down south some where." I knew she was wrong, and began reading everything on the Crossfire I could find on the web. That is when I became aware the SRT even existed!
The combination of MB, AMG and Karmann were a winning combo for me.
When I discovered that only just over 900 convertibles were built and what they were selling for, my decision was made.
I bought mine, having never driven one or even sat in one. I got lots of pics from the dealer, on the lift, etc., Carfax and the maintenance history all done at the same dealership. I also got the window sticker...$50,265.........my price for all this....$15,600.....
This was a no brainer.....Ford Escort money for a high performance, quality built car, from 3 of the best in the business. For me, a self proclaimed Car Guy, this was like having the stars align, or the Barn Find deal you always hear about that never happens to you.
From what I've seen over the years, what make a cars value increase are, rarity, race history or a story. We have rarity and a story with this car.

I own a black SRT-6 in Orlando, FL.
I've had it for over 2 years now and there have been no accidents. You can't say that every young person is a terrible driver though, I'm 19 and I take care of it better than anything than anything else I ever had in my life.

I see a couple of SRT-6's around here but they are mostly the graphite or the aero blue ones. Don't even get me started on how many limited crossfires I see. They are everywhere.

It had 52,000 and now has 57,000 just a little over a year later.
I bought the car around January or February of 2010. It was on Ebay and was the 1st Ebay car ever posted by this dealership. I dealt strictly with the used car manager. He was willing to deal and stated, "It's winter in Minnesota, not the best time to sell convertibles."
It had a BUY IT NOW of about $16,400. There was not even one bid on this car!
While the auction was live, I was in contact with the dealer gathering info on it and running Carfax, etc. It had a lot more miles than other cars which were available at the time, but had a clean history and thorough maintenance records right down to light bulbs and air in the tires.
I wanted SSB color.
We came to an agreement of $15,600 and he kept it in the showroom until I picked it up in May. He even picked up my wife and I at the airport.

In most cases, I'd have to agree with you. In mine, I disagree. I'm 18 and I have 37,XXX miles on mine and I treat it with utmost respect. I'm only speaking for a handful of young XF drivers that are actually grateful to have a car that will go down in history as a rare classic. My SRT6 will never be treated as a rental.
But on a bell shaped curve, again I agree with you. It appears that most young XF owners treat their car as only a powerful and stylish way to get them from A to B.
