Default cruise control???

when you activate the cruise control should a light come on to let you know it's activated?
every car I have had with cruise lights up on the dash to let you know,

just wondering?

nope not on this one. odd things like this are apparently part of the charm. LOL! No auto dim mirror after 2004, no autoheadlamps things like that That I come to expect in 40K cars, even 20K cars now.

Neither of my Audis (2003 A4 and A6) have a light either. May be a German thing. Maybe they figure a driver can figure out that cruise is on if they take their foot off the gas and the car maintains speed. I'd rather have had a voltimeter and and oil temp or pressure gauge vs another idiot light. Or, even better, electrochromic dimming mirrors as mentioned.

There is also no "on/off" switch. Simply pull up to set or accelerate, down to decelerate, toward you to re-engage, away from you to cancel. You will learn to love its simplicity, requires no looking at all.
