Default (ABS), ESP and BAS light

Hi everyone,

I just got my car which have been in a container for a long time. The battery is from 2009 and the car have very low mileage so I guess the battery is the troublemaker in all this. The delivery firm told me they had to jumpstart it this morning to get it started. It is charging now so I will have to check it again in the morning. I tried doing the ESP procedure. BTW ON/RUN mode, is that turn ignition as far you can but not start the engine? that makes the steering wheel way heavy.. I noticed the airpressure sensors were a lit at start but it has now disappeared.

Any guesses?

If the car's location is colder climates, if it was me and it died, I'd give it a full trickle re-charge, as a short term fix.

With the price of a battery being relatively cheap, and an easy replace, I'd put a new battery in as a no-brainer.

If your car stays in warm climates all of the time, you can probably stay with a re-charge, but I would have it tested under load.

Nothing would **** me off more, than getting stuck with a no-start because of a friggin battery.

As far as the TPMS, it's most likely battery related, being it reset under full power...

Mine kept throwing the same codes until the battery was replaced. It was confusing the computer and it kept going into limp mode. No problems since.

Weird, my OEM battery was still running strong after 8 yrs... I only replaced it because I was having it shipped overseas. FWIW, the OEM Mercedes battery is actually the same as an Interstate. At the dealer it would have been $250, at a tire shop I got the Interstate for $140 (and it's the higher life/CCA version).

Edit: The battery is from 2009, meaning someone already changed it? Is it the correct one?

Thanks for the replies. I'll buy a new battery tomorrow. I had the battery recharge all night but it was still weak. As the car only has 9000 miles on it and have been sitting in a garage in the us, the container transport etc. I can understand that the life of the battery is weak.
Now the question is.. What battery...?

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...tml#post569206

2009 it says on the battery. But as the car has been a standstill (looks new .. So nice.. ) and no one charging the battery the life of the battery have been somewhat shortened.

Keep you posted tomorrow. Would like to get a tip to what battery to buy though...

Drive for a bit and also turn steering wheel full right and then full left. I did by a new battery but I did not really need to. But nice to have a fresh one
