Replacing the IC Pump with CM30P7-1 Johnson Pump
Hi Everyone
I just replaced my old IC Pump with a New CM30P7-1 Johnson Pump. I know there is a Great DYI already on the install of the Super H/E, showing the removal of the bumper and everything. I put together a short PDF showing the replacement thru the Passenger side wheel well if anyone is interested. I hope it helps someone out. I know most of you guys have already done yours.
It was a fun project and my first real repair or upgrade on the SRT. Sprint Booster coming this week.

Great write up. When I did mine I took the old pump off while still attached to the bracket. I almost lost my freakin' mind trying to locate that hidden nut on the back side that faces down. Now I've got to go back in there and check my pump's wiring...Your write up will help refresh my memory. Thanks

Thanks Guys
Yeah that hidden bottom bracket nut under that pump gave me a workout also. Thought I could put it back with the new pump attached, but no way had to remove the pump and put it on with the bracket attached back onto the car.

if you wrap the pump in a bicycle inner tube you can reuse the rubber sleeve from the oem and mount it just like the oem.
also theres a capacitor in the old pump plug that should be transfered to the new connector to prevent any surge when the pump kicks on

Thanks guys, glad to help. I have learned so much from all of you, thought it was the least I can do. I was a little scared at first, since this car is my daily driver. But I had to fix it because the stealership wasn't going too. They kept telling me there was nothing wrong with it, but I had all the symptoms of a bad pump. Sure enough once I replaced it, the car was back to its powerful self again. The PERMAGRIN IS BACK.

Thanks for the suggestion. I would really like to do the brake lines also but haven't had the time to reach the forum for suggestions and part #'s yet. Do you happen to have the part #'s or where you got your SS lines? Also don't have a good vacuum pump to bleed the lines. I usually do the old fashion 2 person line bleed of one person opening the bleeder valve and the other pressing and holding the brake. But don't have the second helper, she moved to CA to attend university.
