Weirdest occurrence. Don't know where else to post.
I just have to get this off my chest.I just came home from an early dinner. We took my g/f's GTI. Overall a nice day, a little cloudy. We get home and my g/f notices my crossfire is wet. i look at it and its wet only on the hood roof and hatch. tires ,fenders, doors are DRY. The floor around it is dry. im l oh well must have rained and the floor dry quickly (but at the restaurant 5 min away we handnt noticed rain) i look at my civic and its dry. Look over at the neighbors car and the rest of the block and every car is dry. at this point im like WTF. The palm tree next to my crossfire is dry and so are the bushes and grass around it.i ask the neighbor about it, she has no idea and only recalls the floor being wet when she got home earlier. My other neighbor is also in awe. I check for water leaking from the roof and there is no water. We have NO sprinklers around the car and unless its a prank (which doesnt make sense and my neighbors arent the pranking type) i have no other way to explain this. Im very disturbed right now.

A mystery indeed. If there are no sprinklers around I would guess it was a prank. Although I can't imagine why anyone would do this. I always use a leaf blower to dry my car if I was caught in a shower. Let us know when you get to the bottom of this.

About once / year, on a super humid day, I'll step out of the air conditioned car & wham the humidity will totally condense on my sunglasses.....at first I'll think I'm having a stroke or something....
Maybe (since Crossfires are so COOL), something like the above effect happened?

I had the exact same thing happen to my car a month ago. It was parked under a carport with my wife's car right next to it. We came outside to leave, and my car was wet on the hood, top and hatch. There was no water on the floor around it, or on the sides of the car. There was also not a drop on the wifes car parked less than 3 feet away. I am still perplexed. I hope you figure yours out. I have no valid solution as to how mine got that way.

Could it have possibly been dew? When dew sets on surfaces it usually effects the top surfaces first. See this link What is dewpoint temperature?
Dew doesn't only form in the mornings it can form anytime of the day when the moisture in the air and temperature conditions are right.

this is what i was thinking if your windows were down something could have jumped in a pissed ont he seats.
I have a white and orange tabby cat in my nieborhood that loves my car and a cool days with the windows down i have jumped in the car and started to drive off to find i have a furry friend laying on the dash or seats. or find little dirty cat paw prints on my hood and roof.

Is your wifes car new and or waxed??You could have a limited sprinkle from the clouds that was small and limited. If her car was waxed the water would have beaded up also, and if not the water would have dissipated like it does on the concrete floor. Woody and its probably not dew unless your car is below ambient in temperature.
