Talking New Tuning Pricing !!!

Well, its time for a change! We decided to drop pricing on all SRT6 and NA's to $400!

Here is a link to one of our recent CAA dyno sessions where you can really see the gains!

Link

We even purchased another tuning computer to be able to send it out and have people tune yourself in the comfort of your garage! (wireless internet and deposit required)

Damn Jake, you are making this too tempting, but I need to finish remodeling the bathroom and kitchen before the better half will allow a tune.....

JUst for reference, is this the new standard pricing, or is it a sale? If a sale, please let me know when it will end so I can try to save my pennies

Thanks for the update, Jake.

I know it is a little far off, and I am not sure how your first foray into tuning at the Dragon went, since I had to miss the last one, but will you be at the Dragon in October? And would it be possible to throw on a canned tune at this time?

TIA

What would a dyno tune go for now? I can probably take a Friday off and head up from Indy to put it on the dyno and get a tune sometime this month. Hell, I'm sure you could probably talk me into buying some more mods while I am there.

Great deal for you guys that need tunes!

(edit: I mentioned E-Bay and that was incorrect. That was the 'other guys' tune)

My car is the first chart listed in this thread.

I would like to give a little background. Around the April '10 time frame I decided to take the plunge and get the SRT6 tuned. I got in touch with Inmotion and was impressed with his comments, so I decided to take the plunge.

Before sending my ECU to them I took the car to Oscar Jackson (of Jackson Racing fame) at his new shop to get the car dynoed. The weather was about 80 degrees with about 35 percent humidity. Oscar was quite surprised to see my car dyno at 293 HP at the rear wheels as a bone stock car. I told him that I would be sending my ECU in for a tune and asked if we could run a dyno after I got it back and he agreed.

After getting my ECU back and running a full tank of gas through it over the period of 10 days, I brought it back to Oscar. Weather conditions were nearly identical with not more that a degree or two difference and roughly the same humidity. To my surprise my best run yielded a HP rating of 291 HP, a drop of 2 HP.

During the week before I brought it in for the "after" dyno, I really could not feel any difference in performance other than it appeared that my auto shift redline appeared to be around 6100 vs 5900 RPM. But no "butt dyno" difference at all.

The Eurocharged folks at CAA reached into their bag of tricks and did find a bit of a HP increase and a whopping 30 extra pounds of torque. That is something you can really feel.

The following is an email I just sent off to Inmotion. I will let you know if they respond.

"There were a few other emails going back and forth covering info from Rob at Needswings. I searched all over Southern California to find some place that had a "star scan" capable dyno to no avail. Quite honestly I simply gave up and chalked the whole experience up to wasted money spent.

In June, I drove to St Louis to attend the First Annual Crossfires Across America event. There were a total of 51 Crossfires attending. During the three day event, Eurocharged had hauled their dyno equipment down to St Louis and offered dyno tuning. Several SRT6s were tuned during this time. I know you claimed that it is impossible to fine tune the tune with a computer, but I watched as car after car was adjusted and fine tuned for increased HP and torque. The weather was hot and humid, very unlike the local conditions when I got my car tuned at Oscar Jackson's shop.

I had read enough to know that no two different dynos would come up with the same numbers, so I was not surprised when everyone's numbers were lower than I had seen at Oscar Jackson's shop.

I told Erocharged about my experience and they offfered to do a baseline with your tune and save it then see what they could do with their equipment. They told me that if there was not a substantial improvement, that they would return my ECU to the same state as it was when I arrived.

When they uploaded your tune info, they showed that there are several maps and that your tune only adjusted one. They explained and showed me how they would actually change several mappings to increase performance under a variety of conditions. After a few dyno runs and adjustments, the HP increased by 14 and the torque jumped by 30. They encouraged me to take it "for a spin" to see if I could tell the difference. There was a measurable increase in performance. I even started the transmission set to the W mode instead of S which effectively starts the car in second gear. The car spun its tires and leaped forward under full acceleration. It did not do this before.

Needless to say I paid them for their tune.

I have a G meter and when I returned home I used it to run some tests. Although the weather conditions were much hotter than what I had run before your tune and after your ECU tune, I was able to show considerable gains over both.

Before your tune the best times I had recorded were 0-60 4.9 with 1/4 mile of 13.5 at 105.1 MPH

After your tune the best times were 0-60 4.9 1/4 mile of 13.4 at 105.3 MPH

The avg temperature was about 5 degrees hotter (appx 85 deg F) when I recently tested the car with the new Eurocharged tune.

With the Eurocharged tune best times were 0-60 4.64 1/4 mile of 13.15 at 108.7 MPH

While as I mentioned to you the only thing I could feel different about your tune was the auto shift redline had been raised from around 5900 RPM to roughly 6100 RPM. Other than that I could not really feel a difference.

Not only could I immediately feel the difference, when I got back from St Louis without telling them what I had done, most of my friends commented on the car feeling "stronger and quicker".

Throughout our conversations, I thought you were a stand up guy and I know you told me that in all your years of doing the ECU tuning, you never had anyone complain about one of your tunes, so i really does hurt to say that your tune of my ECU turned out to be a waste of money on my part. You gave a number of reasons why the same dyno recorded lower HP and torque readings (albeit only a few HP and torque numbers) suggesting that I needed a tune up and spark plugs changed. The before and after readings were made on the same plugs with the same tune under almost identical weather conditions. I did not give the car a tuneup or change the plugs before or after the Eurocharged tune and both numbers increased dramatically after their tune.

Perhaps my car was an anomaly, but it appears your tune did not give me any performance boost."

Would there be any problems with this tune if I run Nitrous? (not much. Only a 20 shot during the day)??

Loungin, you're talking about getting it tuned "from your own garage". I'm guessing that's just a canned tune, not as good as getting it tuned on a dyno.

Any plans in the near future to make your way back out to california? If not, would it be possible to get your remote tuner and take it to a local dyno shop and have it tuned remotely? I'm guessing the tune will be damn close to a hand tune especially if you guys can see what's going on from the dyno info.

Please send me a PM about this. I'm getting a little antsy since I bought the tune but never had it done... it's going on about 5 months now since I bought in on your last package deal. I should have waited though, since I paid about $600 for it.

We can easily add that to your tune, it would just need to be noted upon order.

no plans as of yet to get to cali. Yes it is our canned tune and yes, we can definately do the remote tuner/dyno shop. There is an additional custom tune charge as usual.

wow, 5 months! You do know we offer free reflashes right? So meaning you can run a canned tune until you have the time to get to the dyno shop. Then only have to pay for the custom tuning and not the base again... Or if you were to change mods send in the ecu and we would flash for the new mods and send it back to you.

I think I'll wait for your next open house and get it dyno as well. Plus it gives me an excuse to visit the great city of Chicago

I had the opportunity to meet with Eganders in San Diego yesterday. He has a bone stock SRT6 with no performance modifications at all.

I asked if he would drive my SRT6 and let me know if he felt any difference. He immediately said he could feel a stronger pull on acceleration and that the acceleration felt smoother and more linear. There was some "spirited" runs along the coast highway by Torrey Pines and he smiled all the time.

In a side note, I also asked if he could feel the difference on the grip of my Hankook Evo 12s. He was surprised at their grip and responsiveness to simple steering wheel input. On acceleration the simply bit the road and showed little tendency to slide when accelerating and turnig.

Gotta love the combo of the Eurocharge dyno tune and the Hankook Evo 12 tires over stock.
