Why should i buy a SRT-6 over C230?
I have been eyeing a 2006 C230 figure i can find a used one with like 60k ish for around 15,000. Got to talking to a friend he mentioned "Hey why not a SRT-6?" So i did some research and found that this car seems pretty badass.
From what i have found i would be more interested in the Coupe. Going by the numbers the that kinda puts me in the 13-15 range depending on miles. "I am liking the black most" but color isent that important.
I have asked most of my friends and they on about a 90% to 10% said get the SRT-6 but most are also SRT-4 owners also.
Some of you might know me from the SRT-4 world some prolly havent. I bought my 04 new and its paid off but just have to much blood, sweat, tears, and money in it to let it go. I am just looking for some more input on your side even though the deck is already in the 6's favor but PLEASE if you have any negative feedback let me know i like to hear all sides of the story.

If you usage kids and need 4 doors then obviously the C230 is the way to go. The ride quality is a lot better on the C and will have more comfortable seating. Power wise, the C230 is slower than a stock srt4 and the srt6 will out handle the C. It all depends on what you want out of the car.

Most used 6's with minor mods will do low 12's and with the speed limiter disabled upwards of 170MPH. The only reason your still debating is becuse you haven't driven a 6. When you do. Stick with the black coupe, that way I won't have to bid against you for the Grey Convertable that I am looking for.

BUT it would be nice to have a peppy car that is nice looking and also i can enjoy. I am pretty confidant that the 6 would be way more fun but I would also like the Mercedes badge aswell but dont exactly find it very exciting paying roughly 2000 more for a status symobol espacially in the end it is still looked at as a C-series Mercedes.

That is exactly what i meant by it might take a test drive of both to know for sure what i want. I dont think i have ever owned a very comfortable car so it might actually bother me having one.

I am asking as many opinons as i can. I really dont find it that exciting of taking a payment again since i paid off the neon earlier this year. I would like to be able to take the neon to the next level as in Input shaft and slightly larger turbo. The input shaft alone would put me in the 10.2 area with a turbo a lil bigger ill be very 9.99 worthy and messing around with that kinda power on the street causes problems.
So if i get another car i wont have to worry about breaking the neon

Put a Crossfire SRT and a C or SLK-class Benz beside each other. Step back, and see which one gets the most attention.
The results may surprise you. A badge is just a badge, after all.
The body is what arrests attention.

my wife really enjoys her 6, being her mechanic heres the problems ive enountered.
Headlights go foggy
headliner fell
cupholder broke
ashtray broke
transmission leak
map lights broke, fixed themselves, and broke again
rear tires wear prematurely
thier pretty good cars, a bit small for me (6'5" 270) the lack of lsd is irritating, like trying to race a 03 srt4 but i hope we have that fixed soon.

I own a SLK32 and a C230, and have driven several SRT-6's. As someone mentioned above, if you have a family get the C230. I have a 7 month old, and I rarely get to drive my SLK anymore. In fact, I'm thinking about selling it.
There are several issues with both cars, however, my wife has put 70k miles on the C and we've really only had to do routine maintenance. She's thinking about selling it and getting a SUV for more room.
If you're young and single, it really is a no brainer: Get the SRT or even a SLK.
