its ugly but getting there... twin-charged SRT-6!!!
Re: its ugly but getting there... twin-charged SRT-6!!!
As the owner of a true twin turbo (Audi A6 2.7T) I decided to finally read this thread and then about page 5 it devolved into bashing. Very sad. BTW, my A6 stock is 250 hp and the AWE chip brings it to 318 (still short of my SRT6). But a set of K04s, intakes, injectors, and a tune (and $4-5k) take it to 400-450hp. Since I blew my stock clutch with a basic chip and went to a stage 2 clutch, I'm still not sure what else could break with the stage 2-3 K04s. I suspect differentials, gears, etc. But this is not an Audi forum, is it?
Anyway, I applaud the dude who is trying this experiment. I'm not sure I would have tried to funnel a turbo set-up through a s/c. Based on what Audi does, taking a n/a and adding turbos may have been easier and more controllable, but I also appreciate the extra build that goes into an AMG engine. Good luck.
The rest of you take your food fight offline and let this thread deal with his twin turbo exercise.

i had the 14# spring in it the other night and took it for a ride.. got up to 31+ pounds of boost and im sure wasnt all it was going to do eather.. the engine light came on and i freeked so pulled off and found that it misfired... the boost was blowing out the spark and i was going wayyy lean.. thats why i put the 5# spring in it and just going to work from there
