Spend a few track days with the BMW CCA and I think you will have a different appreciation than Junior Executive Creeps.....

No, I really don't think I would.
You know this forum use to be a place one could voice opinions.
One could make a statement and get minimul backlash.
I DON'T LIKE BMW's! I dislike owners that drop the BEAMER name.
This is NOT because of a lack of educated input!
It is MY OPINION!
There was a time whether one agreed with the opinion, people would get a kick out of the tongue in cheek remark "Junior Executive Creep Dictionary".
Call BMW headquarters and ask which pronunciation is correct
Do you now get my point?

From the gods at wikipedia.
BMW slang
The initials BMW are pronounced [ˈbeː ˈɛm ˈveː] in German.[34] The model series are referred to as "Einser" ("One-er" for 1 series), "Dreier" ("Three-er" for 3 series), "Fünfer" ("Five-er" for the 5 series), "Sechser" ("Six-er" for the 6 series), "Siebener" ("Seven-er" for the 7 series). These are not actually slang, but are the normal way that such letters and numbers are pronounced in German.[35]
The English slang terms Beemer, Bimmer and Bee-em are variously used for BMWs of all kinds,[36][37] cars, and motorcycles.[38][39]
In the US, specialists have been at pains to prescribe that a distinction must be made between using Beemer exclusively to describe BMW motorcycles, and using Bimmer only to refer to BMW cars,[40][41][42] in the manner of a "true aficionado"[43] and avoid appearing to be "uninitiated."[44][45] The Canadian Globe and Mail prefers Bimmer and calls Beemer a "yuppie abomination,"[46] while the Tacoma News Tribune says it is a distinction made by "auto snobs."[47] Using the wrong slang risks offending BMW enthusiasts.[48][49][50] An editor of Business Week was satisfied in 2003 that the question was resolved in favor of Bimmer by noting that a Google search yielded 10 times as many hits compared to Beemer.[51]

A place where one could voice an opinon? I agree, and that is what I am doing, but since it doesn't line up with your opinion (which is gospel in your world) then I get flamed?

I could give two ***** about you liking BMWs, but apparently you have a little chip on your shoulder because you felt it necessary to tell me you bought a brand new one in the 80s, are you bitter because you can no longer afford a Bimmer?

Apparently you do not get my point, please read my post above more closely. I dislike owners that drop the name as well, but owners who drop the clutch at the track, my kind of guys, as I said, I have had a few Bimmers and really enjoyed the people involved with the club. Making a blanket statement about millions of BMW owners is the silliest thing I have heard in a while, hell there are many here, including our Mod Gary who are BMW guys as well.

Eric, I apologize about this, simply trying to set the record straight, but you can be assured, it will be my last post in this thread (unless it is to congratulate you)

You can't let things go can you?
And being your so bright I am sure it was a typo when you said you could give two Sh*ts...
I think the term is "I couldn't give two sh*ts"
See if you could give therefore you care to a point.
SO, you go for the guys that drop the clutch, huh?
YOUR NUTS!

Recess is over children. Back to class. The OP has something really good going and has been very good at posting his progress and answering questions. I'm just as guilty as the rest at times but lets give him our respect and not litter this thread with all the friendly bantering.

hey, I wanted to play too....I like you both...but, this really is out of line...I could list a whole host of cars I dislike, and the characters that drive them...some are even on here...but I would rather learn a little more about what Eric is up too, or not up too....we should just start a "bash thy brother" thread, so we can all play....lol

thanks man .... I appreciate everyones opinion on this subject now about the BMW's I have none .. there pretty nice cars and all don't get me wrong. Now on my car I'm waiting for the boost sensor so i can put the fuel mods on (Product Category Listing ) but for now i just unhooked the intake where i had the turbo piped into the supercharger so that it will be running like normal till i get the fuel fixed then will hook it back up and see what happens

I was wondering what you did to overcome the limits of the stock Manifold air pressure sensor? Are you just clamping it or running one that can support higher psi of the compound boost setup.

I respectfully appologize and I will stop at this point as I tried twice before. It's just hard when I open my e-mail to find I have been again bashed.
I say 90% of my "razzel statements" with tongue in cheek. Some just can't take it and can't let it go. Sometimes I can'r believe I am 53 for I can't let people call me names without getting upset. I am really trying to work on it. Thanks for ringing the "class bell"
Mike

I haven't hit a problem with it yet. but will probably just clamp it. Im trying not to go over 30 psi yet and I believe thats when the sensor will go off. Anyone els know about this problem?

Eric,
I think I remember you saying what the max PSI would be but refresh my memory.
What are you expecting to achieve as far as Total Boost?

not an *******, just someone we wish would stop crying about his XF and finally buy that car with aftermarket support, I know I have personally read about a porsche, bmw, vette, 350z, and several others you were going to buy that are much nicer than the XF

Sorry Eric, I could not resist

looking for 28psi stacked but from what some ppl are saying on here i am going to have a lot more. So will just wait and see. I can always adjust it easy from the turbo. The turbo itself is good up to 30psi but have a 14psi spring in the wast gate and i have a stock pulley on it now
