If you get one, don't use JB weld to attach it to the SC- just in case you ever need to remove it. I used High Temp Orange PermaTex RTV and it is "really on there". It won't move at all, but you could still get it off if you had too and not tear it or the SC up for that matter. Keep the RTV away from the edges and you will never know what you used to put it on there - from any angle.

....just a thought.

Cheers,
KrzyFast

I just peeled the paper backing off the sticker, and put it on ... hasn't moved.

Sorry Mike! Don't try to take it off and you will never have problems.....not the best advice I know.

Bill, mine didn't have a sticker on the back - I think it was one of the last ones SRT6 had on hand at the time.

+1..... So, KrzyFast, are you saying that the peel off sticky from SRT SIX's will be hard to remove later on?

That is interesting Mike. I just bought one about a month ago, and peeled the backing off, and placed it on there. I wonder if he had 2 different runs on them.

The one that I purchased was made out of aluminum and had no adhesive on the back whatsoever. The instructions clearly stated to use JB Weld. That seemed extreme to me so I used the High Temp RTV that I had and it worked great. It has been on there since Aug 2008 and no issues and no movement/wiggles.

Ahhh..... see the difference. I had to go take a pic of mine. This is the aluminum one you are talking about:

And this is the new version on my car that is made of material like the wing badges, and has the peel off on the back:

I did not know there were two versions.

Well now, looks like my toys are getting some attention.

There have been 3 versions. The first two were aluminum with no sticky on it. They got expensive to have made (they were engraved) and I found a great alternative in an automotive grade poly badge. This one has a self-adhesive back as mentioned.

I have had all 3 on my supercharger. The first two, I used JB Weld. Held tight and I used a chisel under the edge to pry off. There was some residue that I had to sand off. The current design is very easy, as mentioned just peel off the backing and apply.

It will come off, if you really want it to, with little to no residue. Case in point, I had my supercharger replaced under warranty and the dealer pulled it off the bad one and reapplied it to my new one.

The originals sold for $30 the current sells for only $10.99. They are in stock and ready to ship.
