Default Issue

I was idling for about 25 minutes I hear a little pop followed by a constant low pitch noise. I then immediately shut the car off. I turned it back on and there is still the low pitch noise. I went to go drive it the supercharger is not kicking in and there is a real loss in power. I don't know what happen. I was reading the forum and im seeing it could be a possible IC Pump failure or air intake sensor. Can someone please let me know what I should do thanks

you already said it....it's either sensor, telling the puter the SC is hot, and is shutting it down, or the IC pump has failed...my money is on the pump since there is noise associated with it....if no warranty, there's a johnson pump, ford lightening pump, and the bosch oringinal equipment.....the first 2 require a little wiring and plumbing...there's a "how to" on here somewhere for that...

Sounds like your IAT sensor popped out of the air distributer.

Intake sensor. That pop would be the sound of it popping out, the low pitch noise is probably air passing through the hole.

The intake sensor.?..?. How would I know if it is not the pump? I still have warranty on the car should i bring it in? Is it possible to put the intake sensor back in the hole? Does this happen to all car with superchargers if idled to long ?

The answer to that is quite simple.
You look at the IAT Sensor, and see if it is not tightly inserted in the hole for it.

If its loose, then it NOT the pump.
If it's tight, and inserted correctly, then it's something else.

Simple.

You can do whatever you want, its your car.

If you find the sensor loose, try it, and see what happens.

I doubt very many people leave their SRT's idling for 25 minutes, but no, I don't think that's a normal occurrence.
Normally I would ask why you had your car idling that long, but I don't think I truly want to know the answer to that.

The time for action is NOW!

BC.

If you look at the picture that BrianBrave posted you can see the sensor has two clips that just pop over the edge of the flange that the sensor goes through on the Y pipe. This is mounted right below the throttle body. You will need to take the air intake off the TB, and likely the TB too, to get at the sensor easily. It shouldn't take more that about 15 minutes to check/fix if that is it......

Could the POP have been a fuse blowing?
