From Ohio to Colorado
From Ohio to Colorado
Flew out to Cleveland, Ohio Friday evening with my son to pick up my new (used) Crossfire SRT-6. We arrived home last night after driving across seven states in two days, covering 1,350 miles. This car is a beast -- I've never owned anything like it (and I have owned a lot of cars). It is very solidly built. Not one rattle or squeak. The build quality, and the engine and transmission, are very impressive. The car is surprisingly fast, with outstanding acceleration and power throughout low, middle and high RPMs. On the way home the SRT-6 handily disposed of a Pontiac G8, a Subaru WRX and a newer Corvette (they were all surprised). The aero blue color is especially good looking. The suspension is taut and definitely became a little punishing by the end of the trip. I may switch to Konis. The radio and navigation system were just fine and will be left alone (excepting the capacitor fix for the front speakers). Put billet grills on the front today, and IMHO the car looks better for it. We're looking forward to driving the SRT-6 often this summer. What an incredible car. For the money, the SRT-6 is easily the best automobile I have ever owned. I'm already thinking about getting a second one for my wife (she's already had it out four times today, starting at 6:30 a.m. at first light).

Re: From Ohio to Colorado
Congrats on the purchase Tom! I'm a fellow Colorado Crossfire owner myself and I'm glad that we have another one! We try to do several group drives during the summer months. Check out the North America->Midwest section of this forum. If you would like to join the Colorado Crossfire Club (CCC), check us out here: Welcome to the Colorado Crossfire Club! The club is free and all you have to do is own a Crossfire and live in Colorado.

Hey Tom,
Welcome to the club, and congrats on bringing another one of the SRT-6's to the wonderful state of Colorado. For whatever reason, these cars seem to be badly distributed to places where the owners only seem to enjoy driving them in straight lines, and driving them only 1/4 mile at time.
You're more than welcome to join us here in Colorado who get together every now and again, and drive our cars up in the mountains, around the corners that scare the rest of the SRT-6 owners in the rest of the country.
BC.

Congrats on the SRT6. I know exactly how you feel. Now, I have to ask a question-----you have been a registered forum member here since May 2006, have you wanted an SRT6/Crossfire since then??

So you've been a member of the forum since 2006 and just now purchased your first Xfire?

Welcome Tom or I guess I mean Congrats on the new happiness (since you were already here)! Now that you have the SRT you get to go first on our drives and clear out the speed barriers, deal?
Mike - do hit the CCC up if you'd like company through RMNP.
Slight thread jack...
So, Colorado kids - the Golden Super Cruise has started up again. The first one was this last weekend (that was fast!). We gonna do a CCC represent this year? I have friends that live there and I'll be at the July Super Cruise (along with BC) as we owe them dinner, lol. Hey, I may even detail the car...
