Default Anyone have a M12 1.25 bolt?

I did a real bonehead mistake today. I finally got the front suspension together, or so I thought, but I apparently left the nut on the top of one of my Koni shocks loose and when I went for a test drive it fell off. Gone. I spent all day going to hardware stores and autoparts stores and I can't find one here in P.R. You lucky state siders can get one at Lowes. Could someone, anyone, send me one of those hard to find nuts? Let me know and I'll PM my address. I'd really appreciate it.

Les

OOPS!! I put bolt in the name of the thread but what I need is the NUT

Are the nuts at Lowes Grade 5 or better? I think I would prefer a parts store before Lowes.

I know you need just one, but here is a grade 8 for auto and truck:

I was at a Home Depot today and they have some grade 8 fasteners. Just not the one I need.

i found a bunch of m12x1.5's here but no 1.25's, our lug bolts and the neon lug nuts are both m12x1.5 so you may have a chance of finding a lug nut with the 1.25thread at a tire shop tomorrow? that's is if a lug nut would work for what ya need

i can get ya one on monday if you cant find it tomorrow

well, since i have the thread gauge out i guess its time to pull the oil drain plug out of the spare motor and find a magnetic plug for the car instead...

Lowes was a no-go, however I did find them at Advanced Auto Parts. I'll drop it in the mail on my way to work in the morning.

Simple way to make the standard oil plug magnetic is to put a rare earth magnet on the inside face of the plug. It is not going to go anywhere ones it is in position.
These magnets are so strong they'll pull the bolts out of the con rods.
