Guy in CSRT4 claims to pull 5 cars on an SRT6. Looking at his mods in signature I don't see how it's possible. I think he ran an N/A Crossfire and wrote it off as an SRT6 which seems to happen quite often. You be the judge:

PS If you don't know already I own a CSRT4 now and it's a great car for what it is but not going to get pulled by 5 car lengths unless he's running a big turbo and supporting mods.

 

I agree, the outcome doesn't seem right with his mods... but I guess anything is possible. Maybe the SRT6 wasn't running 100%.

I wish he would pull that crap with me at 40 ,,,,, I had a GT Mustang try that rollin rice crap with me one evening and I guess he thought I was just another old guy in a Roadster , The only thing he was seeing was spoiler . I let it hang out ,and got into the fast button . ,,,,,,,,,

Yes sir- that's me. lol I dunno I want to go soon when the weather is still cool! I don't have high hopes for my ability to get a good time with it as it's manual and fwd. The Crossfire was soooo easy to get consistant 1.7x 60's. I'll be lucky to get a 2.3 judging by the wheelspin I get in the street!

 

I wish I knew where they hang out I would go over and show them what a SRT6 is really all about if they were willing to go to the track. I am not going to run anybody on the street it just isn't worth it if you screw up or get caught. Maybe you post an invite for me on there forum I will be at OSW Wed night.

 

His personal best is a 13.7 @104 at the track and he says he pulls on an SRT6 on a roll? I think that the SRT6's supercharger isn't working..That's the only way he can pull that off. Me, Xray and Thumper will have to track him down and challenge him at OSW....

 

To his defense that time was with Mopar Stage 1 ECU only. He's got a Map/Tip clamp, upgraded injectors, and cat-back exhaust (w/ cattless dp). That will help his power quite a bit but not resulting in 5 car-lengths on a highway pull.

I'm not saying it didn't happen, however either:
a) it was an N/A Crossfire
b) the girl in the SRT6 wasn't trying
c) something was wrong with the SRT6

Too many people underestimate the 6. Especially if it's an older driver- they forget how EASY it is to drive fast.

Around here, with the price of insurance, there are lot more old guys like us riding around, but you still have some kids willing to play, but not near as many as there use to be...

SRT-6 is one of the fastest cars from a roll, my friend does low 11's in his car but from a roll theres not much in it.

yes, they launch very well....I was at a test and tune at US41...not a private track day...I lined up against a gas class '56 blown Chevy...a couple of the guys there with Eurocharged were sitting in the stands. A guy next to them, said look at the old guy in the sports car, he's about to get his clock cleaned. Well, we launched, he and his slicks and all, me with street tires...he's pulls the front wheels, we are side by side for 60', he pulls ahead by the 1/8, and is gone after that....the guy in the stands, turns and says, did you see that?.....lol

 

Doc thats one of the things I luv most about these cars is everybody so badly under estimates them and afterwards they just sit with there jaw open.

Wednesday nights are bad. I get up 4 am Monday through Friday and need my beauty sleep. Hope the wind is blowing the right way tonight, it is really wicked out there today.

Anyway back on topic....That SRT6 could have several problems with it like a boost leak or intercooler pump gone bad....The gal needs to take it to a local track and see what it'll do to solve this mystery. I have to find out what meets this guy goes to and go out there and challenge him at the track. My son drive's an SRT4 so I may have him hunt him down for us. LOL!
