Mistaken identity? You be the judge.
Re: Mistaken identity? You be the judge.
Funny... Last year I was a track day in NC and lined up against the fastest documented CSRT-4 in the country at that time and I beat it by 1 car length on the 1/8 miles... For the Record it was the "Red Shed" built by Darrell *** Racing and Bayshore Power. I know they have gotten faster over the last year, but not that fast... Currently the fastest, RealTune, is only running an 11.42. Not too impressive for a Turbo car. An 11.42 car is not going to put 5 cars on me for sure. I ran 11.80s on a well dialed in and modded Neon SRT-4 on a stock turbo.

Regarding Gizmo's car pulling 5 cars on you- who knows? But that is besides the point- I contested that a lightly modded CSRT4 pulled 5 cars on a stock SRT6. I think even stock it's far fetched- unless, again, something was wrong with the SRT6.

I keep tellin' you all, there wasn't any money on the table yet....you should see all these new Camaros around here I've been tellin' how nice they look and bet they are really fast...wish I had one, but all I have is this old out-dateed six cylinder....but, I would try to keep up if I could...how much to race, again?

The csrt-4 is no slouch.... 400 whp on the stock turbo is doable. If the srt-6 was stock and the srt-4 was in its powerband i could see it happening... It does have sufficient mods to trap 110ish so its possible. If they indeed went up to 120+ mph then its not out the question. Most people exaggerate when telling stories. I had similar mods on my neon plus meth and tune and there is no question that my neon would have put a hurting on my basically stock srt-6. Now off the line its a whole different ball game.

I'm not saying it didn't happen, however either:
a) it was an N/A Crossfire
b) the girl in the SRT6 wasn't trying
c) something was wrong with the SRT6

Ok, after talking to my son, he actually knows this guy in the CSRT4 and I already met him 2 weeks ago at a Saturday night SRT meet near downtime Orlando. They meet there every Sat night. His name is Ben and he's like 19 years old. His latest mods with the tune puts him in the low 13's around 110 mph in the 1/4. With his turbo spooled up from a 40 roll, the torque does indeed have him pull quickly without any lag. So if the gal didn't jump on it as fast as he did, I can see him pulling with the SRT playing catch up. Anything is possible. I'll probably bump into him again someday but I don't do the street racing thing, especially with my perfect record for 20 years. I out grew that way back when I was almost 30... LOL! So no way we'll ever know what the truth is with him against the lady driver. It's not really worth arguing about unless someone wants to do the illegal thing and race him out on the street. I know he's no challenge at the track with our cars since I'll finish a whole second ahead of him from a dig.

I went to the Orlando meet last night and Ben and the lady with the SRT6 were both there. I talked to her and Ben did indeed pull away from her. All she had done was some tune done locally with someone using a bluetooth..Sey way? Anyway, she also says she's having lag problems, so I can see the CSRT4 pulling away with that lag of hers. They will be at the Funday Sunday event on May 2nd. The girl even had pics of Paul's (xray) car on her cell phone from when she was at the track when Paul was running...

Mimi, you're forgetting the most important part of this whole debate:
What is that girl's phone number?

My better half SPANKED my SRT4 Caliber by at least 8 Bus lengths the other day while she was driving my SRT6. We were coming home from the car wash and she instigated the run.
It does not feel good being on the loosing end of a contest. She is no longer allowed to drive my cars.

I know Jim is down in that part of Florida and I know he has a rather cute daughter (Jim, I mean that in the nicest way possible) You think someone had Dad's car out the other night?
BTW, if this was the case, there is NO WAY IN H*LL that kid pulled 5 car lengths on his car.
