Default I bought the SRT6 w/ 917 miles

I would like to thank all of you for having this forum. I am new to here although I have looked many times before since I own a 2004 Coupe w/ 57,600. I saw this SRT 6 on Ebay and Autotrader last Wednesday and started looked on here to find out more about the SRT 6 and any problems that I should be concern about. Tons of info on here with smart guys---THANKS. I owned tire stores for 10 years in South Florida, and I am a Cert. Master with a L-1 and many on here have me beat on some of the details on this car---which I love! You can never have too much info with cars today---Alldata saved my butt many a time, and I can tell this place will too.

Now for the car----Price $19,655 without the Chrysler Warranty because I was buying through my boss/ friend's dealer's license, and they could not put the warranty on a dealer to dealer transaction. I work for this dealership buying and selling cars. It was 3 month/ 3000 mile bumper to bumper but only 2.5 years left on the powertrain only---not the supercharger. They took off the $325 "TRUE COST" of the warranty, so it went for full price!!!!! Fidelity Automotive Solutions has a 6 year 75,000 mile warranty which is ALL mechanical for $2844.00. Is this worth it? It even cover the radio up to $300.00. Of course, body items and glass are not covered, but window motors, switches, alt, starters, etc, are covered---$100 deductible. $75 more for a $50.00 deductible. Also has roadside assist up to $100.00 tow. Any input would be great.

This will be my daily driver so for now, I will leave the "super mods" to you. I was planning from what I have read on here to do a coolant separation from the I/C and I was going to add an Oil Catch Can Kit. Maybe a SL55 intake since it looked stock, but would it help without any other mods? The dealer at the above price put in a new battery and did the oil change. I was going to do the coolant, trans, rear end, brake, and power steering fluids due to age and lack of driving. I can get wholesale prices since I sell cars---What do you think? Are there any other mods that would not void the warranty that I should consider?

Thanks for all the help so far even though you did not know you were giving it!!!! I know that I have asked several questions here, so thanks in advance! Jimmy

I edited this post due to some confusion.

Yes it was and still is---I will be picking it up on Saturday. Nashville, TN is home, so an 8 hour drive back down which should be good for the car!

Congrats and let me know when you're free and I'll meet you at Dan McGuinness for lunch one day (Thursday fish n' chips $6)

Wait one minute... I've already filled the Graphite Crossfire SRT6 ratio in this area. You'll have to find another color

Assuming this is a 2005 and less than 1000 miles, this car has been sitting for a while. I would suggest that before you make that 8 hour drive, you have all the fluids flushed and refilled.

BTW great taste in cars and welcome to the forum.

Thanks, I am making plans to drive to Columbus and do the flushes there----oil and battery done and owner of the dealership is asking the previous owner to call me. May not need to do any now, but that would be TOO lucky!!!

Just the couple that are listed and maybe a Sprint Booster if everyone thinks it is worth the money. Considering an extended warranty and want to keep it mainly stock for now---my daily driver. I thought the coolant separation was needed period and the oil catch can I think makes sense and cheap enough. I will do most of my own work.

I would put the SL55 intake on it. It will make a big difference. I have it on the SSB and ran a 12.8sec 1/4 mile last Saturday with just that mod....

Congratulations on getting the car... you will enjoy it everyday.....

Thanks, I plan on the ones that are listed and now the SL55. At the first brake job, I was going to upgrade to better pads and slotted rotors front and rear with lines maybe even sooner.

Consider getting some akebono pads. After your first week of driving you'll thank me.

IMHO, SRT's don't need the sprint booster. It doesn't add HP. Spend your money more wisely.
