GREAT story Danny----I looked for months too---seems like that is the norm. Jimmy
BTW, I like your mods and comments. You were one of the ones that helped in my decision to move from the 2004 coupe to the SRT. Thanks

This has turned out to be a GREAT thread!

Interesting to see what an SRT6 in very good shape is REALLY worth. There has been too many on the forum commenting on how "overpriced" these cars are when someone wants to sell one. Too many comments how people "spent too much." Then (it seems like) many of those same people comment on the low resale value.

These cars will ALWAYS have a market. Seems like there are fewer (crashed) every day. We all know how great these little beauties are and the many NA members stepping up to the SRT6 proves that.

I think this thread proves that an SRT6 in great shape truly has a resale value of around $20K. Anything less is a steal!

I agree, but of course I would. The one in Ohio @ $19,000 w/ 4080 miles that got away from me was a steal. I would give up the 3000 miles to know that the car was driven a little more plus $655 cheaper to boot; it also had tinted windows which I will do, but that's just me. Still waiting for the first owner to call me to see how he took care of it.

A car with under 10,000 miles is worth $18,000 to $20,000 E-Z, if it's clean and has not been bent---I have looked too long for a good one. I was looking for only Gray; that is the color of my coupe, and I really like it. I hope I like the SRT's interior. I have the two tone gray which looks great with the outside.

Thanks for the advice on the fluids. I am doing the fuel filter too before I head out. Jimmy

FYI, I just talked to the sales manger, and she said that she wished that she priced it @ $23,980 with all the calls that they are STILL getting AFTER taking it off the internet. You are correct SRT SIX there is a market. She said that she could have sold at least 3 more at my price--no joke she said.

I had my stores in Boca, Lighthouse Point, and Hollywood, but I live in Nashville now. Sold everything at the end of '03 and moved back home after 13 years down there---Loved it!!! I can not believe you only have 9 or 10 down there.

More handling or more power and we can give you our experiences to help in the decisions. (For instance, Eibach's ride great but don't handle as good as the stock SRT springs IMO.) Welcome to the forum and congratulations on buying a permagrin machine.

Thanks, Les. I will take you up on that offer of help in the future. The intake is on the "now list" along with the I/C coolant separation and the oil catch can. I agree it's a "long run" item, but with this boost, the car must pressure the oil more---it must blow somewhere. I have seen them on many a track race car. Other that what I just listed, just ALL fluids for now.

You need to talk to Rob at NeedsWings.com...... or send him a PM here on the forum. He has all the parts you need for that car, and he's just about 45 minutes north of Monroe.

You could make that trip back down home a LOT more fun.

The SRT6 interior is available in any color you like....as long as you like charcoal. What really is nice, the seating area of the seat is covered in a suede-like Acantara. This is the same material used in the very high end European cars (read MBenz, Porsche, Ferarri etc.) Keeps you well planted as you take those turns at 1.5G LOL

I agree with SRT SIX. Unfortunately, I can also see why these cars don't "fly off the lot" like dealers want them too. Too harsh of a ride, blind spots, "cheap" interiors...etc...is what most people say about them. Once they build steam and get people interested...AKA "the steals or great deals"...it gets crazy. Once I drove a SRT-6 at a SRT Track Day, I was hooked...the normal crowd of people looking at those type of cars have no idea what that feels like.

I have to say now that I've called the "sales manager" a few times and the internet manager STILL hasn't called me back. I'm glad I didn't buy that car, they really have not been very good with their customer service....and I plan to let them know about it.

I have a feeling the car is still immaculate, but I would at least like the dealership to appreciate their "potential" customers. On the other hand, I know what you mean in your earlier posts about empty buyers.

You and I are going to have a "chat"...

I'm not going to give any details until things are finalized, but there are some very interesting things about this car....oh...and I've already "claimed" it for myself...lol. I am personally going to make sure I don't lose this one.

I agree this is great news for our cars. Mine just passed 8000 miles but 100 miles were put on the track . On your warranty, I just bought an extended from www.servicecontracts.chrysler.com and it is Michael Case from Zeigler Chrysler Jeep in IL. I did the max care with $0 ded 5yr/70,000 miles for $1245. I did an estimate online then the emails start coming. Wait for the email with the discount coupon code. Every bit helps. So mine is good for a long time to come. Heck $21k+ is very tempting. Yes call Rob for all you need and CAI won't void your warranty.

Wow...just wow. Just lost another one...this is bullshit. Internet manager told me he wouldn't take any action the car and then HIS manager took a deposit for it over the phone while he was out. What is wrong with this people!??!

Am I the only one having this bad of problems? I feel like I'm being told to stop. It's all too coincidental to me...

yeah, that's crazy. it must a combination of the economy heating up, the number of srt-6's going down, and more exposure of the srt "brand." i would get on cars.com (choose the all miles field) and get a feel for the ones that are for sale. some private party, some dealers. you should have no problem getting one with low miles and under 25k. just my 2 cents.

It took me a year and a half to by the coupe....I bought it from a Toyota dealer...a few months ago...if I hadn't jumped on it, it would be in Canada right now....right bluecoupe...lol....anyway, 22K on the odometer, 15k out right...it was perfect until someone hit it in my wife's parking lot at her work. It's repairable, but I was really sick for a day.....I wouldn't take 20 for it stock, and it would take 30 to buy the roadster...they aren't going anywhere right now....lol

You're right about that Doc, it would be in my garage but then again I'm pretty happy I pulled one away from the Florida gang................4400 miles & change when I got her and 6200 miles on her now after bringing her home. Got my warranty transfer confirmation in the mail today.......good until 7/3/2013 and a comprehensive plan, gotta love it!
