Use the money for the brakes and rotors....SS brake lines are a good add too....

Congratulations.......you're getting a very solid car.

I went down last week and took it for a little "test drive" Scared the crap outta the salesguy. He had no idea about the "oh $hit" button under the gas pedal......at least that was what he was saying on the onramp.

Enjoy!

No, There is nothing illegal for a dealer to sell to another dealer. It happens everyday at auctions, as well as, hand selling like this one. I work for him as a salesman, and I buy cars for the lot every week or two---That's my job. This is just one of those cars, and it just happens to have a buyer on my end which is me. There is also nothing wrong at all for any dealer to sell a car to one of his employees or a family member or friends for that matter. They can be some of your best customers. I sold two cars last year to one family that I have known since grade school, and I hunted the cars down just like this one for months before I found them. Like many jobs this is just one of the benefits, like employee discounts, company cars and trips, free samples, etc. Being in the car business, I also get dealer prices on repairs and tires, as well as. Plus, would you not rather buy from a friend if you could? He will make a fee on the car, and there is nothing wrong with that either. He has his cost just to account for the transaction. So, nothing " illegal or at least frowned upon" here. You do not know me from "adam", but I am a straight shooter and up front guy, and I do things by the book, so I can stay in business---everyone needs a car.

They told me that there was "action" on the car. I started last Friday talking to them, and would have driven up on Saturday, but they did not call me back either. I even set my alarm for 4 am took a shower and was ready to leave before 5, but stopped because I did not know if the car was still for sale. So I started first thing Saturday morning and had the deposit by Monday before noon. Sorry for any hard feelings. I was beat a couple of months ago on the same color SRT-6 w/ 4080 miles in Ohio. It sold for $19,000. So there will be more---Good Luck!!!! Jimmy

Thanks!!!! Can you tell me more about the car? They told me that it does not have any paint work and drives great---with 917 miles it should. I was going to drive up last Saturday, but they never called me back. I got a call from the owner, as well as, the head of the body shop, and they both guaranteed the car was "Perfect." The owner told me that he knew the guy that traded it in personally and he traded two low mileage cars on a new 300. So I pulled the trigger sight unseen---well minus the pics and two dozen phone calls.

Absolutely do the intake. The stock brakes are big and good. If your not going to track the car I would leave them alone. The catch can works but it's more for piece of mind in the long run. Be on the lookout for a transmission leak at the sensor and valve cover leaks. After you've driven the car for a while you let us know what direction you want to go. More handling or more power and we can give you our experiences to help in the decisions. (For instance, Eibach's ride great but don't handle as good as the stock SRT springs IMO.) Welcome to the forum and congratulations on buying a permagrin machine.

Oh trust me...there are hard feelings...it's just my feelings about the internet manager who seems to be a moron (not any hard feelings with you). He basically told me that there WASN'T any action on the car even though he took the eBay auction down and that it was still for sale on Monday (yesterday).

If you understood how many times this has happened to me you'd understand how pissed I am. I sound young on the phone so they probably don't think I'm serious. Hell, I offered them $19,500 with a $500 deposit on Friday, then he NEVER got back to me. I would have paid full price in a heartbeat if I knew there were other people working on the car.

I'm sick of doing this...it's so pathetic, but it's so heartbreaking when you spend so much time researching and calling. I feel like maybe it's a sign, I've been trying for 6 months now and had 5 different cars pulled out from under me. Maybe that's a sign....

Also, I was not trying to get you ticked off with my comment. I just don't like it (obviously), because I would think a dealer would have more connection/lines of communication which is probably where I lost the car. I was also just curious because I had never heard of that (buying a car under someone else's DL)

satellite, it is a sign allright. The sign is that you deserve only the best, and the perfect BLACK SRT is coming your way. If you had of gotten that one, you would have always wished you had waited for a black one. LOL

Seriously, I know that it can be frustrating, and I feel your pain. Just think what it will feel like when you land that perfect ride. All of your persistence will pay off in the end. Hang in there buddy.

Haha...I have a thing for that Graphite color. Although, at this point I just want something with low miles and possibly a certified warranty. Which now there is only one car in the country with that (per cars.com).

I had a black one...unfortunately it was a POS. Had been in a wreck, roof leaked, fuel filter went out in less than 500 miles, had to give it up or it would have been the end of me.

I was also the high bidder on the eBay auction...and it just gets "pulled" like nothing. They simple use eBay now as another advertising forum, the auctions don't even mean anything. Argh....I'm so mad!...lol. Just "letting it all out" in here...sorry.

I am not "ticked off" at all. I do not think that you lost the car for that reason at all. This dealership will do what all dealers do---FIRST WITH THE MONEY. There is no "love" between dealer to dealer sales---some even hate them because they think you are making something they are not---really. It's show me the money; nothing more--nothing less. There are SOOOO many "lookers" who say that they are "serious"---I have heard it so many times. If you are in sales or have been, you know this. If you have not, it's called the "be back hole." They say that they will be back, but they fall in a hole just in front of the business when they "try" to come back.

As for "buying a car under someone else DL". I did not make myself clear. When I go to a sale, I am an agent for the lot. Just like a real estate agent is the "agent" for the broker. The agent can not sell the house---legally it's the broker. Same thing here. I buy cars all the time and sell them as well, but legally it's the lot that has the sale---they are the broker, I am just the agent. Jimmy

Oh my!!! I would not do that to him. I too have looked for a long time, and lost the one in Ohio just a few months ago.

Nothing to be sorry about---I totally understand. Like I said, I lost the one in Ohio just a few months ago. At $19,000, I would have rather had that one. One owner, DRIVEN some but only 4080 miles and the windows were tinted and I think that it had luggage not sure on that one---I too have looked at many.

Just to let you know, they did not pull the auction until I paid the deposit. I was watching.

Hey Satellite, i feel your pain ! When i was searching for a srt6 ,the ones i had decided on had been sold. So i

looked some more. The one i got was one that i kept passing over because it was for sale at a tote your note

car lot. All the other cars on his lot, via web were old and high mileage . So i emailed the dealer and called and

found out this srt was his personal car and his said it was in great shape! Still was not sure! He sent me more

photo"s etc, I am located in Dallas Texas car in Pittsburgh , Pa. So i flew up dealer picked me up at

airport arrivied at lot . My heart sank lot looked like a Dump! Walked around building and there she sat a

aero blue coupe , she was perfect , test drove, was great. Paid him his monies and shot back the 1200

miles to TX. So keep looking there are 50 srt6 on autotrade and 15 are black coupes===== Danny

That was wrong when he told you about "no action" on the car. I will say that they told me from the "get go" that it was full price---first come first served. I did ask which full price since on Autotrader was $19,980 and the Ebay buy it now price was a $1,000 more. When they said the Autotrader price, I said "I'll take it."

I have been trying for months too. This only means one thing---you are next. If I see anything, you will be the first to know---really. Jimmy
