So on a kinda different somewhat the same note. A friend from MBworld.org Ahmad (blackbenzz) went out to the MIR private track day he organized on Friday and ran a 10.595 in his CLK55... at like 128mph. Ridiculous.

P.S. the fastest ever Mercedes is a 10.485 I believe and he was spraying a 150shot of nitrous. Ahmad did it with no nitrous. He is trying to become the fastest Mercedes in the 1/4 mile, bar none...all of it done off the bottle.

Anyways, to tie it all back in to this. He has been working on his car for two years, through broken axles from too much torque, not enough cooling, etc he has always kept tinkering...and finally he has almost reach his goal. I know that if we keep tinkering with the SRT6 we can make big jumps too eventually. Keep up the good work everyone.

Well, we've been stuck in the same 1/4 mile time range for about 2yrs now. No tune nor mod has seemed to remedy this. It almost seems worthless to go past the standard three mods of a intake, pulley, and tune. How can you explain how people with bigger pulleys and or more mods period are running the same exact if not worse than people with the standard three mods using code3's and 178's? We use to think the bigger pullies were slower do to iat's, but that turns out not to be the case. The magic bullet definitely lies with the fueling system I believe. Hopefully Needswings fuel mod works out eventually. Im going to rap up my modding with a wet shot of nitrous and call it a day. Nitrous seems the only way to break deep into the 11's or possibly 10's depending on the shot.

Not ready for the bottle, but I have to agree...since we can't change gearing, there isn't much left, either meth, or nitrous...if you are going to do meth, might as well go all the way and get fueling and cooling w/ Nitrous

Yeah man, its crazy how no "traditional" mod seems to work on these cars. No torque converter, gearing change, or anything else for that matter seems to get passed some electronical nanny so ever present on these cars. Merecedes is great engineering for people who have zero interest in going much faster than the factory car was made to do. How can you explain a 2 door coupe thats relativiley light weight, 3.2 liter v6, forced induction, forged internals, and rear wheel drive cant break the high 11's low 12's mark without nitrous, its insane really, it defies logic. My rant is over, I got it off my chest.

Where would you spray wet nitrous? You can't run fuel through the s/c otherwise itl wreck the rotors.

Everyone with N20 has sprayed through the supercharger.

We have been fixated on just going faster, that we overlooked the point at which we needed fuel system mod’s, their are a few exceptions. After the Dallas Tune Secession, I visited the local ¼ mile and ran a personal best of 12.11 back to back, hot laps. The only thing that changed was the addition of an SL55 fuel pump. Forget that DA, you will be in the 11's regardless!

Keep up the work, Xray !

A C3 or 178 pulley will get you to around 12.7, and an ECU tune with sticky tires will get you down to around 12.2. That is the reality of what these mods are going to do.

Whats up with the all CAPS? I am confused.

Not a bad decrease in your time! I think if I were going to go down that road I'd get the SL55 fuel pump + the SL55 fuel injectors may aswell do the whole thing, because the new pump with our stock injectors might become a bottle kneck in fuel delivery.

You are correct, the fuel pump alone will not solve the fuel issue, at least in my case. The next step is to replace your FPR or injectors. I would like to do the injectors but finding the right ones will be trial and error.

According to the flow rates our injectors should be good up to 500hp. The FP regulator is the way to go. Talk to inmotion he is very know alot about our cars and the fuel injectors.

Funny you say that Xray, you would think if our stock injectors are good up to 500hp I wonder why our fuel pump & fuel reg arent!

I agree with people on here its so damn hard to get this car into the 11's

Because who would have ever dreamed that someone would actually want to modify a Chrysler.

For some reason they skimped on our fuel delivery system maybe that was mercedes way of trying to give the 32 an edge.

As for getting into the 11's it maybe hard but it is not impossible it just takes perserverance and patience. This car is teaching me patience.
