For $35K, gimme a used Viper all day long. MANY to be had at that price, even verts.
Hmm, I don't know. It would eb a toss up, I could get a lightly used E55 for around $30k and put $5k in mods in it and be just fine with my low 11s 1/4mile runs and still be able to take the friends out in it.

...and its pretty much just a baller car all around.

...though a '97 GTS is pretty much secks.

Dude I completely forgot about the E55... I dunno HOW, but I did it.

Those things are beasts.

+1 on the E55. The first time I went to the track with Buggin, his friend came along with an E55 AMG. That big *** boat was pulling low 12s bone stock. I was shocked by his runs for it to be such a heavy car. Probably at least a 90% chance that will be my next daily driver. A black E55 will look sweet sitting next to my baby in the garage.

I'm leaning towards graphite so I can black out the badges and get some black wheels...mmmeeeeeaaaaannnn. Already scoping it out. Won't pull the trigger until I can have it immediately delivered to Eurocharged for some go fast toys.

oh, btw. i don't plan on it being the only 55k motor in my garage in the next couple years. still planning, but am conservatively hoping for a low 10s screamer (not your girlfriend).

As for your 'challenge'....

My best-friend's cousin's uncle also has a 900RWHP Viper with MT slicks and a parachute.

Maybe they should play nicely together.

And he knows someone that was related to someone that had a Bugatti Veyron and traded it in for an old Ukrainian F-5
Oh yeah? well my sisters brothers niece once knew a guy that had a cat that sat by a dog that had a owner that once parked beside a car that once was on a car lot that once sold a car that had been in a walmart parking lot that had a car on it that made 20,000whp that went so fast that it caused a black hole and went through time. I would like to see his g35 beat that one, i am sure he would be glad to race you guys!

FACT: The fastest G35 on Dragtimes has 500+ whp and only pulled an 11.7 1/4 mile.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Modified SRT6 vs Heavily Modified G35....closer than you think. I think Photoman would make the guy cry knowing he spent 10x the money in mods.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Photoman would make the guy cry even if he didn't let him know he spent 10x the money in mods

the moral of my "story" since i was not clear was this: saying you know a guy that knows a guy that has a faster car is just silly nonsense. i always felt that if you do not own it then do not rice race aka benchrace it. my comment was directed towards kenyonmjr6. i was making a good natured "ribbing" towards his comment and was implying that his post was silly with my silly post. sorry you were confused lol.

besides, if i put $20k into a engine (which is funny that most ricers claim that is what they have in their engines) and only ran 11's i would be very upset and definitely would not be bragging about my car, i would be embarrassed and would not tell a soul how much i put into the piece of crap.

^^^ What he said.

The only man I'm ever known to actually sink a true $20K into an engine was a Ferrari owner. And I believe that went towards an oil change + new spark plugs...

Oh and BTW his car is faster than a G35... But only if he roll-races. And only if the A/C is switched off.

I definitely didn't mean to come off as condescending to you. I thought it was hilarious. Just took me a second to comprehend the whole thing haha.
