How fast will the SRT-6 be? Some guessing...
I just checked out the specs for weight on some cars that will share this engine with the Crossfire. My C32 sedan is 3,540 lbs. and the SLK32 is 3220 lbs. The Crossfire now weighs about 3,060 lbs. What will it weigh with the new engine, 3,100 lbs., 3,150? The fastest test of the C32 was in Autocar Magazine: 0-60 4.6 seconds, 1/4 mile 13.0@107MPH. The SLK was always a hair faster though I don't recall the exact numbers. I'm thinking that this Crossfire may match the C32s best times in a worst case scenario and could even run something like 12.8@110MPH. What kind of numbers do you guys expect from it?
It surely will vault past the speed class containing cars like the 350Z, Boxster S and S2000 right into a class with serious sportscars like the C5 Corvette, Porsche Carrera and BMW M3.
Edit: Found this just now "Chrysler is boasting that the supercharged SRT-6 is better than the Porsche Boxster and that it can do the 0-60 mph run in just over 5 seconds, making it a real sports car." Darn, it seems they're aiming a little lower with this thing. Hopefully MB is asking that they be conservative with claims. I know that MB claims something like 4.9-5.2 seconds 0-60 for the C32 but Autocar saw 4.6 seconds.

Best timeslip I've seen for a stock '03 M-B SLK32 is 12.85s @ 109.2 mph.
The SRT-6s 20HP/lb-ft deficit is probably either due to an artificial restriction in the exhaust, and possibly some sub-optimal fuel maps. If it's just the exhaust, I'm sure that only $1000-1500 is all it'll take to produce output similar to the SLK32.
The SRT-6 will probably only have, at most, a 100lb weight advantage to the Benz. Though if you cut those rear wheels down to 18s, you probably can shave off 20-30lbs between the tires and wheels. Running the tires 3psi under nominal pressure can also cut a tenth off if wheelspin is an issue.
Out of the box I'd guess the SRT-6 could do a 13.2 guaranteed. If you could get that 20HP/lb-ft back, a 12.8 @ 109.5 - 110.0 isn't out of question. Not bad at all for a Chrysler!

And let's keep in mind, this being a bonified AMG driveline, means that regular M-B modifications would likely be suitable for this car. If I end up grabbing one of these beasts, I'm going to give RENNTech a call. For about $3000-$3500, swapping out pulleys and massaging the ECU could easily bring output to 390-400 HP and lb-ft.
12.4 - 12.5 would be very realistic, meaning the SRT-6 would stand a good chance against a C6 Corvette in the 1/4 mile -- the best I've ever seen a stock Z06 pull was 12.2 @ 115, and the driver exhibited nothing short of perfection. Though I'm positive that on a road course, it'd obviously be the Vette hands down every time.
To sum it up... 60 in 5 flat, 1/4 barely still in the 13s. But for a few thousand dollars, the car could be a downright brute, and do burnouts on demand if the transmission and electronic safeguards allow. Again, not bad for a Chrysler.
