I talked to Greg on Thursday and he has said that they are still fabricating the first few sets and only have the prototypes pictures earlier in this thread.

They are going to finish fabricating these and send me a set, and I will have pre and post dyno numbers for the headers. This should hopefully happen within the next month.

They are still working on getting the fabrication on these going full steam ahead. I personally can't wait to get them on the car, they will be a nice addition. A bit more throaty exhaust note, and a bit more hp on the top end.

Haha, so do I. When I talked to Greg he did say he is building your set at the same time so he will send them out together with mine. Should be good.

Received a box from Eurocharged the first of this week. After the box sit around for three days,I opened it. "Eurocharged Headers" The exterior welds and tubing are buffed out like chrome. Heavy and very durable looking construction. Both sides together weight in at 8 pounds and 4 oz on a refrigerant charging scales. By looking inside the header's middle and last runner tube's,I've got some minor work to do. The last two runners for each side of the headers are cut and welded into the front cylinder's long log type tubing. There's about an 1/8" or little more over hang of the first cylindertubing showing where the last two cylinder tubing is cut in and welded. With my cable grinder I can easily remove these slight overhang restriction's seen in the last two tubes for each engine side. I do know to stay off the welds! I'm sure these guys have many more hours in these headers than they expected. It will be awhile before I have time to install these. You can tell just by looking at these headers that they will produce more horsepower. If you look just past the factory SRT-6 exhaust manifold's last cylinder, just before it takes a dive to the down tube connector flange. The factory exhaust manifold's are really sized down in this area. EuroCharged header tubing's are B I G from start to finish.( Did you notice the thickness of EuroCharge's flanges posted in their picture. I've never seen flanges that heavy duty.) There's also a sensor screwed in this small tubing area for both factory exhaust manifolds. Well i don't have hole flanges for either side for these sensors with the EuroCharged headers. Oh My! Even though I need to do some work to these headers, I'll still give them a AWESOME rating. They look better than a HOOKER! Squirrel Crusher

As a follow up to SquirrelCrusher I should be getting my set in the next couple weeks and will be doing pre and post dynos on them for the world to enjoy the gains. Especially since SquirrelCrusher said it will be a while until he gets them installed.

I am hoping to have these installed while I am in Copenhagen for work from May 1-15 if not before I leave. I will definitely try to make sure that pictures are taken at the different steps, as well as graphs of the pre and post dynos.

I would love to have these on sooner so I can post up to everyone about these. As well as have some fun before I park the car for a couple weeks.

Can't wait to here the throatier sound as well...

Just my personal update of the EuroCharged Headers. First off I want to make it ((UNDERSTOOD)) that I truly want these headers to be a success and become a sucessful mod for our cars and wish EuroCharged the best of luck in their header sales. There's great potential here to build more horse power! The large tube outside apperance is of show quality apperance. But I'm sad to say I'm not happy with a few issues. When these headers arrived at my door,I expected a ready to go direct bolt on. I would have been willing to have paid for bolt hardware and gaskets. I've lost count of how many Dremel sanding stones I've used on the inside runners to grind out the excess flange over hang where the second and third runners are cut in and welded to the first log type runner. Stones are $3.49 each and no match for grinding the thick high quality stainless steel. I can't find a supplier in my area that carries a carbide cutter for the 1/8 Dremel flex cable needed for the long reach down the tubes. The flow will be restricted until the inside over hang flange and all welds are professionally ground down and smoothed out. Thru trying,I have found out this is beyond the capitably of my Dremel tool. Secondly-As these headers arrived at my door, they are a useless part for our cars. Wheither street driving or racings, these headers are rendered useless without oxygen sensor bung holes for each header. I've checked around the local shops here and no one is willing to drill and weld in bung holes for fear of miss positioned holes, being of such a limited clearence space. I would have loved to had some type of installation suggestions. I don't know if the engine needs lifting or not for install? Being we have aluminum heads,If I should bolt these on or use studs in stainless or harded grade steel? Wouldn't even know what length to purchase. When I get ready to do this install,I want to know I have the right supplies at hand for less down time. Most members on this sight aren't even considered back yard mechanic, including myself. I'm a maintenance man! I commend EuroCharged for taking their time to develope custom parts for this small group of cars. I hope my comments aren't taken as a negetive by EuroCharged, but as a positive to futher improve on a product that we desire for our cars. Best of success for EuroCharged and to get these issuses resolved before group sales of mass production. Squirrel Crusher

I T 'S A L L G O O D !!!! I wished I could post Greg's PM he sent me but I don't know how. Anyway,((It's a simple shipping mistake)). He had two sets of completed totally finished out set of headers with the oxygen bung holes already installed. His shipping person just picked up and mailed out the wrong headers to me. I must have his origional protype that's pictured at the first of this thread for the group buy. After Greg saw my post tonight,he said he was overnighting the correct headers. I will be sending the protype back to him. I have purchased from Greg before and didn't loose fate that he was going to come thru for me.. Thank You Greg.... Squirrel Crusher is H A P P Y

Yea my shipping guy is new and he grabbed the wrong set ... Your set went out yesterday and you should have them today

I placed a return label in the box so all you have to do is box up the old ones and stick the label on it

Call me a skeptic. I have the cash set aside to purchase these headers but will not buy another advertised and unproven power adder. I'm more interested in the torque numbers then the HP change, too often exhaust mods add HP but loose Torque. When dyno results are posted of a nearly stock 6 with and without the headers installed, you will likely get many more sales.

Thanks

That is going to be difficult to achieve. Headers are definitely not something that a nearly stock SRT6 jumps to immediately. There is a reason why people go for Intake, Pulley, and Tune first. They are the best bang for the buck modifications. Headers are down that list.

I am hoping to have before and after dynos in the upcoming weeks. If not me then hopefully Squirrel Crusher will have them.

Just curious why Eurocharged wouldn't have already dyno'd a car with and without the headers?

Why are you their test bed, Zahanma? Especially when folks are already getting their end product (SquirrellCrusher)? That seems pretty backwards to me.

Tom, I think this has been discussed before...you aren't going to get a lot of HP or TQ, but you will get some...but for the guy who is looking for a trick exhaust, starting with these headers, rear cat, resonator delete, y-pipe and muffler....well, that is a trick exhaust that might gain you 10-20 hp...and as much torque....most people are doing something with their exhausts...why not start at the front...it's expensive for a complete system compared to most factory cars, but, you don't have much of choice when everything is custom....it just costs more...I think they look great, still waiting to get a report on how hard they are to install....

That I don't know. I am just doing what I can to help them out. It has unfortunately been put off for a couple weeks since I had to get two new front tires this week due to bulging in the sidewall to the tune of $400... So yeah. I will be getting them soon.

The reason Squirrel Crusher has them already is because he paid for them and wanted them. They built his set and my set at the same time. His shipped out mine sit at the shop for now (unless someone else buys them first, which I would say go for it).

I am doing what I can to help the forum and Eurocharged. I am a big supporter of the company and a bigger supporter of the knowledge and comraderie this forum has. There is a win-win situation waiting to be had. I am just trying to do what's best for everyone.
