Eurocharged SRT6 group buy!!!
Re: Eurocharged SRT6 group buy!!!
well, working on the exhaust has been on my list for a long time...glad I waited now...anyway, when we get everything on, hopefully in May, and ready for a tune, hopefully the price doesn't go too much higher, 'cause I think this is a great deal...but the $$$$ are still gathering other mods...nice job on this Jake and the boys...we will see what May brings when ready for a tune...

With all things concidered the 2" will be enough for almost any set up you throw at it. Remember most V8 headers runners are about 1.5" to 1 5/8" in diameter size and thats usually enough for the power we can get out of these 3.2l engines.
i think i have the true dual figured out and it looks like a bmw m3 muffler may be finding a home soon!

These were carbon steel instead of the stainless steel. Needless to say Carbon Steel doesn't hold up well to a highly modified 6 and I pulled them off to send back for their review. If anyone gets carbon steel you might want to consider having them Jet Coated. I'll hopefully be able to get the Stainless steel for replacements.
Anyway, after putting the stock Exhaust manifolds back on I've noticed a huge difference in the power band. Before I could not get on "stomp" the throttle below 60mph without having the rear wheels violently break loose, I basically could spin both wheels from a dead stop for 200+ feet 1-3 gears once I got around 50 mph they would stop spinning for a second or two and break loose again until I hit around 80mph.
Now I'm spinning 1st and 2nd only and the back of the car is black (running rich as Hell).
YouTube - Crossfire SRT6 with ECU Tune
this is Tony showing me how to drive it (running a second gear pass.) he likes to show off his work!
I also noticed I've lost 1/2 a second 0-100.
hope this helps guys, I wouldn't change a thing! I edited this to include tire information rear tires are Continental Sport Track 2's 295/30 ZR 19 with about 20% tread left (slick)

I would expect that most people that would be interested in these would already have a minimum of a CAI, pulley, and a tune. With this in mind, do you plan to do a before and after dyno of the headers and post the gains?
Thanks so much for all of the work you guys do.

Should we not be seeing in the neighborhood of 30whp increase with just the tune and no header? I guess what I am trying to ask, is what whp gains should we expect from the headers alone?

Just installing the headers, I would like to see around a 3%-4% increase in HP above 4K RPM. That would be around 9-14 HP for me on the dyno I used in the past as a baseline (dynojet)
Who will be the first to test...??

I have a reputable shop up here in Jersey with a dyno (dynojet I believe)...
hopefully I will be able to report happily...
I think the sound will be a bit more aggressive and round.

Headers w/ stock exhaust stock software - 272hp 285tq at peak but gains of 20tq on the top end of the torque band and 14hp, all gains where above 4k rpm
Headers w/ stock exhaust and Euro flash (Stage 1) - 293hp 304tq gains 35hp 20tq throught the rpm band.
I'm very happy with these results!
Re: Eurocharged SRT6 group buy!!!
Dyno Dynamics: 348.5 HP 460 FTLBS Torque. w/ 95 temps and high humidity. This is without the 70# NOS.
Has anyone else seen this kind of torque out of a SRT6?
I've now had this car over 180 mph [Jan 15, 2009] with the top down and had more power than Nerve. I doubt I'll ever do this again but...
I did win the race and the $$$$ bet. I no longer care what my 1/4 mile time is or could be... I took down a 10.5 sec 1/4 mile 2009 ZR1(claimed). From 80 to around 130, it was close (maybe .5 -1. car length but no contest after 150), at 180 I was at least 2 car lengths ahead.
enjoying the ride 4 miles at a time

Re: Eurocharged SRT6 group buy!!!
Hey Doc,
The phantom grip works well but I do find that it slips on rare occasions, They do have a tuning kit to upgrade the unit if I ever feel the need. I was really hoping for a Quaife but I’m happy with it over all and it’s quiet no chattering or clunking noise at all.
Basically, as one wheel starts slipping, the plates under spring tension twist in opposite directions and wedge outward on the spider gears. This causes friction between the spider gears and the case, and makes the wheels turn at the same speed.
I installed it myself with some help from my neighbor, he’s big time into racing and changes out gears frequently in his race cars so he was able to walk me through the install. Waldig has a nice write up on installing them with pictures and that was helped. Over all I took my time and had it installed over a weekend.
