Water Coolant Resevoir
Re: Water Coolant Resevoir
Oh, yeah.
Remove the 2 M6 nuts and un-clip the hose restraints.
Remove the electrical plug at the bottom of the reservoir.
Put your hands underneath and LIFT-hard.
If you can, spray a little WD-40 or equiv. on the barb right at the bottom. It is dry and very hard to get out of the rubber grommet.
Look under it with a mirror. You will see.

Thanks guys, its that rubber holder that gave me trouble I didnt know whether it was permenantly fixed there or not I didnt want to pull to hard incase I broke it. I want to just move it enough so the bolt comes out I dont want to unclip the hoses otherwise I'll loose all my coolant

Duno if that seperation system does anything man, the hotter my car gets at the track it puts out better times lol crazy huh?
I figure if it were that much of a big deal MB would have done it from the factory it's only a line or 2 isnt it?
BUT in saying that a few guys have seperated there systems and ran like a trunk mount system and fill it with ice or have ice around it on track days now I do believe that would definatly help.

the rear tank only helps if you are draining and refilling with ice. no matter how big a system you run, eventually all the fluid gets to the same temp as the i/c and the supercooler can only cool so much before its heated again. the more fluid just allows you to take longer to reach that point. then you have to consider the weight vs temp advantage.
brianbrave has a ton of info on this subject. check his posts.
as for running better when hot, if your just running test and tune you can stop at your convience. if your bracket racing or autocrossing for long times you will have s/c shutdown. in the us there are times when you will be hot lapping at the 1/4 and no time to cool down . then the iat's will rise drasticly
