Default Learned something this morning

SRT's and Ice don't mix,

I watched the news this morning and thought that the roads looked okay... boy was I wrong. It took me almost 2 hours to get to work. Next time I'll take the all-wheel drive Jeep Grand.

Yeah, not too smart to take the 6 in ANY kind of snowy/icy road. lol. I remember I barely made it up a light inclined hill IN "W" mode when it just had started to lay on the road. I couldn't believe how bad the 6 did. This was with summer tires though so....... :P That was the last time my 6 was a daily driver. lol

I had to be at work at 7 this morning so I made it down i40 before they shut it down. Everytime it changed gear the rear wanted to jump out on me, and everytime I touched the brakes it wanted to do the same thing. I just took it slow. When I left out I didn't think it would be anything like what it was. I'm not home yet and there appears to be a fresh layer of snow so this should be fun

Yep- looking to pick up a used Caliber SRT4 this week. With some mods it'll be trapping higher than my 6. . They are monsterous up top. There are a few running 11's w/ traps around 126! ...not in the ice/snow of course.

I took mine to work yesterday (no choice) and it was indeed a hellish ride.

Never got above 30mph on I-24... Leaving the hill on my neighborhood with the 6-speed was a new level of fear, LOL....

Daily drive mine every day. My 6 is like the USPS, through rain, sleet, snow, or ice (except hail). Also like the USPS I'm usually late (during the winter) wherever I'm going.

Haven't had any issues yet (*knock on wood*) but I have winter tires on mine as well as some sand in the trunk.

Then again I have a very short commute to work and rarely would get about 35mph anyways even in the summer. Oh well...

I have spring fever so bad. I'm scartching my neck like a crack addict itching for spring... Can't wait. Seriously. Had to take a trip to Houston this weekend just to thaw out, etc.

We got 4 inches last Fri and the 6 did better than I expected...now it did take 2hrs to get home from a usual 35min trip. She kicked out a few times.....and going up a slight incline was a no-no....quick turnaround did the trick.

Nope! I'll have a 4 and a 6...hopefully. Trying to get one for 17k with no more than 100 miles on it. Dealers are asking WAY too much for them.

i visited georgia this weekend with the 6. went down this road that was supposed to be a shortcut and was covered in ice. this road had alot of turns, would be a great road for summer driving, as i turn the corner i found a g35 that had been completely turned around and in the ditch. the top of the car wasnt even parallel with the road, thats how deep the ditch was. but i was sure glad that it wasnt me.
