Anyone have the code3 Belt Wrap kit instructions?
Re: Anyone have the code3 Belt Wrap kit instructions?
I have a Dashdaq and have logged at the track. (mostly road courses) I don't know what gauges I need to be looking at besides boost for slip. I boost a max of 17.9 psi with my code 3 (aluminum) My car seems a touch slow for the modifications (best of 12.72 at 108) I assume it's slipping a bit because sometimes I don't make 17.9 psi but more like 17.5 but I don't smell the belt burning or see signs of slippage. Either way, I'm up for the kit just to be sure.

i dont think its slippage but normal times for the mods you have
so the kit will be here next week. rob has outfitted me with some belts and the 178 psk to install on my slk32 with a c3 pulley. once all the belts are tried and the best for the setup is run for a couple weeks this should become available to the c3 crowd!! better bearings, bigger pulleys and a belt wrap all in one!!
pics and impressions to follow.

with bmorgan slamming a 12.22 and moparburst firmly in the 11's i think the c3 will do the job as well as a crank pulley. i just cant get any decent weather to try!

I think Bob could have gone into the 11's but apparently the track wasn't prepped right and we all know how important that is in terms of acheving our best times.
How much do you think this belt wrap kit will cost?
I took my s/c idler pully and put it above the altenator it seems to be abit tighter that way (not sure if it is, but I think it is) and it seems to be putting down power really good.
But if this kit was at a good price may aswell have the peace of mind.
thanks for doing the research and doing this krazy it's great when people experiment new things.

while the belt wrap is an added plus my goal is to eliminate the oem cheap pulleys which keep failing and use the better larger pulleys from the kit. thats true peace of mind!!
im on my 3 rd idler pulley and 2nd tensioner pulley in just over a yr. not really experimenting just bugging the real mechanics to adapt what i need for my car!! they do it so ill go away!!!
