I'd like to see what they say to use from stock, etc.

Anyone have a file hanging around from a while back?

I'm all ears! I don't see any signs of belt slippage but I could be happening an I just don't know it.

I have a Dashdaq and have logged at the track. (mostly road courses) I don't know what gauges I need to be looking at besides boost for slip. I boost a max of 17.9 psi with my code 3 (aluminum) My car seems a touch slow for the modifications (best of 12.72 at 108) I assume it's slipping a bit because sometimes I don't make 17.9 psi but more like 17.5 but I don't smell the belt burning or see signs of slippage. Either way, I'm up for the kit just to be sure.

do you have a tune for the c3? without a tune and some mods to my airbox and a set of dr's i ran a 12.7 along with bmorgan. after the tune bmorgan has cut a full .5 off his time. i havent been able to run due to weather.
i dont think its slippage but normal times for the mods you have

so the kit will be here next week. rob has outfitted me with some belts and the 178 psk to install on my slk32 with a c3 pulley. once all the belts are tried and the best for the setup is run for a couple weeks this should become available to the c3 crowd!! better bearings, bigger pulleys and a belt wrap all in one!!
pics and impressions to follow.

Krazy are you running a 178 crank pully aswell? did you end up buying the one from evo?

no. just the c3 and oem crank pulley. i have been researching the evo but im still not convinced that a crank pulley is a good thing long term. however if i did go that route i do believe the evosport would be the pulley i would use. the dampening looks first rate. but im still pushing the c3 to its limits!

with bmorgan slamming a 12.22 and moparburst firmly in the 11's i think the c3 will do the job as well as a crank pulley. i just cant get any decent weather to try!

I agree with you, I've heard someone melted there supercharger running the C3 with a crank pully.

I think Bob could have gone into the 11's but apparently the track wasn't prepped right and we all know how important that is in terms of acheving our best times.

How much do you think this belt wrap kit will cost?

I took my s/c idler pully and put it above the altenator it seems to be abit tighter that way (not sure if it is, but I think it is) and it seems to be putting down power really good.

But if this kit was at a good price may aswell have the peace of mind.

thanks for doing the research and doing this krazy it's great when people experiment new things.

the kit should be priced the same as the others. ill be using the 178 kit and trying some different belts that rob is sending me to find the best fit.
while the belt wrap is an added plus my goal is to eliminate the oem cheap pulleys which keep failing and use the better larger pulleys from the kit. thats true peace of mind!!
im on my 3 rd idler pulley and 2nd tensioner pulley in just over a yr. not really experimenting just bugging the real mechanics to adapt what i need for my car!! they do it so ill go away!!!
