so it seems the answer to all the leaning issues is the sl55 pump that bulldogger spoke of months ago? interesting!

We didn't do the back half of the "custom exhaust" but the customer wanted us to fix the leaks he was hearing. We started to take it down today and wow is it a hack job. 2" crush bent rusted steel piping with leaks at every single weld. Needless to say it will most likely be completely redone with 2.5" SS pipe and actual welds.

As for the fueling, our cars are not exempt from the same solutions that work for all other cars. Every car be it a turbo 4 cylinder or a SC 8 cylinder have fueling issues fixed the same way at our HP levels. Injectors can only flow so much and fuel pumps can only flow so much. Why so many people insist on reinventing the wheel with complicated vaccuum set ups that cause all sorts of odd part throttle drivability issues is beyond me. Throw a pump in, upgrade your injectors, and realize that this engine is the same as every other engine in existance.

For reference, I posted a pick of the SL55 pump compared to the stock pump in the gallery. By far the simplest way of upgrading the pump. Straight slip in. Now I just have to find a way to stop getting gas in my eye...

Anthony don't forget to post the dyno results for Rons car, i hope they include
the a/f chart.I'm sure alot of members are waiting to see what kind of #'s
this monster put out.

I'm scratching my head on this one...

Ok, so we finally got to data log our newest car. It has a 185mm pulley and machined 70mm SC pulley, yet we are only registering 20 psi on the boost gauge. I was thinking we would see somewhere in the 25-26 psi range, no?

All connections are tight. Gaskets are new and sealed. Boost gauge is plumbed in Y-pipe. It's a Prosport gauge. Do you think it could be the accuracy of the gauge?

Also the AFR doesn't get leaner then 10.9 through the entire RPM band, even on a 3rd gear WOT run in 20 degree weather. The fuel system is adequate. I think it's running too rich actually and we are leaning it out a tad.

Doesn't the 185mm boost over 20 psi?

When i was running stacked 68mm s/c with a 178mm crank i got up to 20.5
psi but had to shut her down due to extreme lean conditions that started at about 19 psi. You should be in the 23-25 psi range with that setup.Got A gasket leak some where ?

Just got off the phone with the customer. He only did 2nd gear runs for the boost gauging. I will report back with a 3rd gear run, I think that will be more realistic.

4th is a 1:1 gear ratio.

I meant third gear for a longer build up until red line. Second gear is too short.
