I think he meant he just had a video of a Porsche that ran a 9.90.

 

That's the way I read it too... the 997 did 9.90's later that day...

I'm sure if cruzin hit 9.90's we would know about it...

 

sorry guys your right I read it wrong, but he still claims that he ran a mid 10, haven't seen anyone beat a 10.9 and thats Jeff with his 150hp shot of nitrous.

If you look on DragTimes.com - JR ran a 11.397 SEC 128.6 MPH pass Nov last year - outfitted with just the same mods as 3/4 of the SRT6 owners on this forum - - and he did it without spraying NOS..

 

Until I see that for myself along with a walk around before hand to show NOS is disconnected I don't believe it...but hey, that's just me.

 

Jeff also did some porting work on that car.....did he do anything to the heads?

 

I highly doubt an 11.3xxx was done without nitrous. Although stranger things have happend lol

 

I believe the mid-10 was also referring to the Porsche. It was a reply to someone else who said "Quick 997!"; it trapped 133 or so IIRC.

 

Yes that porsche ran mid 10's that day. I had uploaded a video of another one pulling a 9.90 at my last shootout event. Two different cars almost a year apart.

Side line discussion - No I would never spray NOS or Meth in any of my cars. I haven't changed my stance it's cheating IMO and treating the SRT6 it like a civic. What a shame.

P.S. Yes I do believe MD's car is that fast. You MD guys should just go by his shop. Yes his heads are ported along with everything else. His prior best without NOS was 11.50's in 1000 plus DA. 11.30's weren't that far off in great weather. This is why he doesn't come on here anymore either. All the BS, and no one just contacts him.

 

you're comments are abit harsh man, everyones just having a general chat about our cars. I haven't seen anyone bad mouth MDs car I just haven't been able to find any info on it. You obviously know him and that's why you believe his times but from the point of view of someone that doesn't know hi
then it's harder to believe.

My view: nitrous or meth isn't cheating just a different form of modding a car. I think people get jealous because a person can spend 5k to do 11s and a another can spend 300 bucks to do the same. As stated that's MY OPINION I'm not trying to insult anyone I respect all your cars and all the mods you've all done that's why I come on here. It's a place to share our ideas and exeriences

 

Hey kolevski, we haven't chatted in a while. When are you going to be able to get back out to the track? Have you done any other mods besides meth since your 12.6 time? Will be curious to see what your new times are. I hope the track will be dry enough tomorrow to get out. I have added a dyno tune and DRs since my last track day. I will let you know how it goes.

Hey bmorgan, I went to the track a week ago BUT I put my stock intake system removed the panel filters and used dual pods behind tr
he grill.....what happend? Embaressment lol the best run the car did was 12.9 and was doing consistant 13's.

Since then Ive built a single 3" cai similar to the needswings cai, upgraded from 3 to a 6 nozzle on my snow meth kit, am planning to change my rear cats with a stainless steel x pipe, and am trying to organize a inmotion tune or powerchip (if they can offer a custom tune). I'll be hitting the track on the 19th of feb so hopefully i'll get some joy.

I see you've got your drag radials and tune, man if bust into the 11s I might even go with a Eurocharged tune Goodluck bmorgan and keep us posted I hope it doesn't rain up your way!
