Default Nitrous & Meth

Can both be used?

I'm thinking of getting the meth to spray into the manifolds and spraying nitrous in the s/c.

I want your thoughts people

I have looked at doing a meth kit on the roadster...haven't done it yet....now nitrous is another story...I like the idea of how the meth works, and can't see any harm to the motor....just haven't researched nitrous enough to know how it would affect our motors... can't wait to hear the responses...

Talk to Jake at Eurocharged. I believe he had BOTH on his C32 previously.

I was thinking of doing a 50hp shot of and using a dry system.

I figure the meth going into the manifolds will supplement octane and prevent knocking.

You do not want to spray any nitrous thru your supercharger. It will take the coating off the rotors very quick. Besides after the intercooler would do much more good for both meth and the nitrous.

I'm spraying my meth through the s/c and I've been told that does no harm to the coating.

You've raised a new idea in my head maybe I can spray nitrous after my intercooler, my only issue is I dont think I'd get as much power from the nitrous as I would spraying through the charger.

Or maybe leave the meth spraying into the charger and spray nitrous in the intake manifolds?

there was a member I think MD6 that rebuilt his after only a few hundred miles becasue he sprayed thru his supercharger. It costed him something like $3800 to fix the damage. This is not limited to our supercharger. If you check other supercharger manufactures like magnacharger they will tell you the same.
Nitrous and meth both have a fixed amount of heat they can absorb. If you let the intercooler do it's job of cooling close to ambient temp. them add nitrous and meth's btu cooling you can lower the charge to lower than ambient temp. But only if you add after the intercooler.

Sorry but I just had to correct you, there was nothing wrong with my engine,no signs or symptoms of any problem,( I did mention that while the supercharger was off some of the teflon had flaked off and later found out from the supercharger experts that this was normal with wear weather you use any type of spray or not).I did the work looking for extra power. And Kolevski if you are gonna play with nitrous the only way to spray is wet and before the throttle body, anything else is playing with fire. I experimented with it for a long time. I removed it over a year ago just because it was a pain in the A** to deal with, carrying extra bottles, not fitting into many drag racing classes, etc.. but it definately works if your looking for temporary power. It is also damn fun too....nothing like blowing big blocks away with a little six cylinder..

Thanks MD, so it looks like I'm going to have to relocate the meth to the intake manifolds. do you think 100shot using a wet system will be okay without getting a tune?

We've been spraying water methanol through superchargers such as Magnachargers, Eatons, Kenne Bells etc for years with no problems. Just take a look at all the Vette's with Magnachargers and Chevy Cobalts running water methanol injection. Their all spraying it right before the throttle body.

If you have any questions on water methanol injection let me know.

Hey Rodney! Glad you found the forum. I was the one that was asking you a whole bunch of questions about spraying directly into the supercharger. Well, I set it up on mine like you told me (10gph) nozzle right before the TB and although I haven't tested it on the track yet. I can definitely tell the car pulls harder on the street!! Again, thank you for all the help!

If you don't cool the charged air at, or prior to, the IAT sensor, then the ECU is still going to register hot charge-air, pull engine timming and rob you of performance.

Works every time. Now if you can get a chance to tune for it you'll pick up some more horsepower. Post some pictures of your install.

I have tried to push people in this direction on this site for nearly 2 years but most want to dismiss it (some actually became quite irate over it lol) without even looking into it for some reason. I have posted extensive information regarding the benefits along with links to your site/phone number on countless occasions on here to members. Hopefully people will start seeing the results and more cars will be in the 11's.

The way I saw it was needswings have access to whatever mods they practically want and there car did an 11.9xxx you've got a hand full of mods and did a 11.8xxx so it's obviously making sense to go in this direction.

Looks good. Are you going to get it tuned?

Rodney

By the way. Have you seen our new competition trunk mount tank?
