Default Good sport ricer vs bad sport

In the last week, I have discovered a difference between ricer drivers.

Last weekend I was headed home after thanksgiving. Getting onto the interstate, this little red riced out civic got up with me and obviously wanted to play. Open roads ahead, I showed him my car was much faster. After a bit he pulled up next to me and gave me the thumbs up and yelled through the window, "very nice." When the interstate Y'd, we both went different directions, I stuck my hand out of the window and waved bye, and he flashed his lights. Good sport

Raced another ricer recently, didn't see exactly what it was, but I did notice the huge exhaust pipe and that it was loud. Outran him by a good bit, less than the civic, but still an obvious difference. Of course, when I slowed down he did a ricer fly by. When we pulled up at the next light, I tried to give him the thumbs up or something, and he refused to look over. We pulled out and he stayed a bit behind me until he turned off. Bad sport.

I thought that was kind of interesting. Of course, this will go for people who own ricers to lambos, some are good sports about loosing, some not.

Any of you have good sport/ bad sport encounters?

Never had the opportunity, but take a look at this thread that I posted some time back. I'd say they are good Ricers.

Being considered a "Ricer" is definitely not based on what you drive...it is based on a mentality... plain and simple.

When in florida I raced a maserati granturismo (not the s version) guy was pissed because I beat him. I tried to wave and give him the peace sign but he didn't have it. He flicked me off and then got off the high way. Three nights later I raced a lamborghini lp640 haha I lost like you would no belive. The guy got off so I followed and he turned into a gas station. We talked for a good half an hour about the crossfire and he actually let me drive his lambo. Now thats a good sport.

Any dipstick who fails to realize that there is ALWAYS someone faster needs a serious ego adjustment. Those familiar with Top Gear and their "Cool Wall" understand this - no matter how cool a car might be in and of itself, if the majority of people who drive it have a serious attitude problem, then the car becomes uncool by association.

I meet a heck of a lot of car guys in my job, most of them are really cool whether they're driving a 1937 Cord, '42 Plymouth, '08 Ferrari, '84 GTI, '63 Vette or whether that car is worth $10k or $500k. Every now and then one of them turns out to be an uber-a-hole. All you can do is move on and concentrate on the good guys - the a-holes aren't worth wasting my time on.
