Amusing Cars That Tried to Race You
Amusing Cars That Tried to Race You
Hey all,
I was driving home from work last night and a Dodge Durango came along my side and kept on surging. I looked over at him and he signaled me to take off. I just smiled and kept driving at 45 MPH. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I had a Toyota Tundra do the same thing a few months ago. What is it about our cars that everyone wants a piece of us?
Well the purpose of this thread is to see what type of amusing cars tried to challenge you in the past. I think there will be some better than my Durango story.

Re: Amusing Cars That Tried to Race You
Had a kid in a civic try to race me one time. My brother and I were going to the shop and this kid passed us going the other direction and then whipped a u-turn and started to follow us. I said, looks like somebody wants to race. My brother jokingly said 'just because they are asian and their driving a civic doesn't mean they want to race.' Well we got to the next light and sure as sh*t he pulled next to us and started the ricer rev your engine routine. We both started to laugh uncontrollably. I totally missed the light turn green because we were laughing so hard but I had him by the crosswalks on the other side of the intersection and continued to let him have it for a good 3-4 blocks before I looked down and realized that I should slow it down. Of course he caught up to me, revved his engine a few times and then did the obligatory ricer fly-by.

Honestly though, there are 2 conditions on whether or not I take the chance on the street.....
1. If you drive a mustang. These guys think they can beat anything and a lot of them are total douches.
2. If you are driving something that I know could give me a good run. If I don't feel that it's worth the risk I won't run. Yes, I realize to them I appear to be "scared", but where I live, there are cops every other block so it's just not worth the chance. I save it for the track.
