I would like to thank Jim just as I was getting into Lauderdale my IAT jumped to over 200 and my car became gutless. Well it appears that I am now suffering from the dreaded IC Pump failure. Jim had a extra one in his garage and gave it to me I can only say that It is people like Jim that makes doing what we do with these cars worth doing. I will be putting it in either tomorrow or wed after I get My new Mani's from NW. I must admit I was really happy I had my Dashdaq today because I could watch that stupid pump kick in and out as my IAT went from 100 to over 200 and then just as quick drop back again. It worked for about 80% of my 200 mile trip home.

Also a quick thank you to Justin and Jerry of Let for standing behind there tune.

 

if your going with those awesome mani's you better get the oil catch can to keep them monsters flowing that 900 cfm!!!
i put mine on last weekend and you would cringe at seeing all that oil buildup inside the t/b and my oem mani's. they were coated and the t/b had a lip of sludge all around the butterfly . just caked with oil buildup

 

The oil catch can is sitting on my work bench waiting to get installed with the new mani's.

 

xray, thanks for the info on the HE septaration ,,, did in in about 10 min, only ran it open sofar as to get all the air out of it,

i thought about doing the shortcut oil line install rob told me about but glad i did it the full teardown way after seeing all the oil. also those metal gaskets looked shot and now have the corks in. see ya in hot lanta! only 1 spot left and i got a guy on mbworld very interested

 

I installed my IC Pump that I got from Jim and it appears to be working just fine. I cannot wait to get my DR's and hit the track. Jim thanks again for hooking me up with the pump it is greatly appreciated if you need anything let me know. Paul

Well while I was at it today I cut out all of the little flaps on my grill and I am actually seeing a 5 to 10 degree drop in my IAT since I did it. I think it was def worth the time since I doubled the amount of air able to get thru the grill.

what is the fan mod?

 

jerry and wayne have a fan mod that has the fan comming on sooner and staying on longer to keep the temp of the water cooler mine runs below the 1/2 mark. jim

 

just to be correct guys the -10 * fan mod is just a star diagnostics telling the fan to com on at 185 instead of 195. it shuts off at the appropiate temps.
