Default DR Question

I was wondering if I could use my factory front rims to mount a set of DR's on for the track? Next would I be better off biting the bullet and buy a set of rims and if so I am open to recommendations.

Thanks for all of the help everyone and there great attitudes have made owning this car an even better experience than I could have hoped for.

the dr's that most on here and the m/b forums would be too wide to use the front rims. there are rims at needswings if you want 16" drags or many aftermarket new and used on the mbeorld.org that would work for streetable dr's or track drags.
i have nittos 245/45-17 on mb replicas

I was going to argue with krazy, but the 7.5" front is a little narrow. 8" is about minimum and 9" or 10" would be best. I run 17x8 Voxx MG wheels and 275/40R17 MT ET Street radials. I couldnt find a low priced 17x9. NW's sells a MB16" wheel and MT DR's.....

Blkfin, the only difference between yours and mine is I have MT ET Streets on the same rims.

Krazy, those would be okay except then I would have to find someone to by the two 17x8's plus my Voxx GT's and tires.

I'll keep looking for a good priced set of 17x9's and change then. At the rate I am using my DR's, they will last me at least another season. I dont get out enough!!

Thanks guys...

Thanks BLKFIN
I live very close to the track and go at least once a week so these tires will get put to good use. I know the car will be able to break into the 11's between the mods and the tires now I will just have to learn how to drive it there.
