Don't be. You can mod yours. My daughter loves the SRT and we have raced quite a few times over the last couple of years. As for the red accents on her's, they look pretty good. But, better for a 19 yo the me.

 

Well, my idea so far is the blacked out version. I still haven't seen an srt-6 like that yet. But, hp is what I'm going to work on first. You should keep me updated, I'm always ready to learn anything new.

 

TVT has a sprint booster for sale for $240. That was my 1st mod on both SRT's. Doesn't technically make you go faster, but gives you instantaneous power without any lag. Then get a CAI (cold air intake) then the ECU tuned then a pulley (supercharger or crank pulley). Do searches on the forum or ask questions.

PS Watch out for retired police officers with blue SRT's. Might be a coupe or roadster. They're pretty smart characters. Fortunately they live on the other side of the Mississippi.

PPS Blacked out lenses in Florida will get you a ticket. I got stopped two weeks ago and removed the film as the cop was pulling out his ticket book.

Wow, that helped alot. I think I will get that sprint booster first. I'm trying to figure how much of a difference a new intercooler would make right now. Probably not much, but it is a pretty fast car, I took on my friends GTO the other night and blew past him. I love it.

 

Sprint booster is a waste of $ IMO, especially if you are interested in doing some hp mods.

 

I would have to agree. Put your money into another mod that actually gives you increased performance.

 

Do the CAI, pulley and tune and then the sprint booster, if you feel you need it.

I've got mine, and what do you know, there's another black SRT6 (coupe) in the same apartment complex ... how crazy is that with how rare they are!

 

Not trying to start a fight, but what gives on not considering the Sprint
Booster a performance mod? If it engages the throttle quicker than
without, doesn't that qualify as improved performance? I know that I don't
have near the throttle lag I had before I installed the Sprint Booster, and I
do consider that an improvement in the car's performance.

True, it ain't quite as much of an improvement as adding a pulley, but hey,
every little bit helps when launching from a dig...

I will agree with you. Some people equate performance as having a direct correlation with horse power. If the SB allows you to accelerate faster, then YES.... it is a performance modification. Just as improved springs, struts, shocks, sway bars, brakes, etc. are performance modifications. if a modification allows you to gain increased handling, acceleration, or speed...... then guess what........ IT IS A PERFORMANCE MODIFICATION.
