Default Remanufactured supercharger

Been looking for a cheap source for a replacement supercharger and found this site Car Parts and Auto Parts from Car Parts Warehouse.

Anyone has any experience with them? Also, they don't have an s/c listed for the crossfire but has them under Mercedes. What is the equivalent Mercedes Make/Model/Year I should look under that would be compatible for the srt6?

is the spare new or used (if used, where did it come from) and how much are you selling the package?

im ignoring the fact that you're from Australia right now and what shipping costs might be.. :-)

I bought a damaged SRT convertible for spares, (I wanted the exhaust system, springs etc)

Well our national post deals with packages up to 20kg's now the supercharger on its own is abit under 20kg's, now they can send it to the states from as low as $50AUD by ship or $120 by air mail. I dont really want that much for it, it's just sitting around doing nothing in my garage, the only thing wrong with it is the wires that come from behind the pully my dad cut them (dont ask me why, I did enough yelling at him lol) but other then that it's in great shape.

The car only did 28,000kms not sure how many miles that is.

Now you know the postage costs, make me an offer if your interested! and we'll go from there.

by the way if you want pics of it I'll post them on here for everyone to see!

Yep thats what I meant I'm happy to sell the parts all seperatly as people need them!

It hit a pole, it's labeled as a "statutory write off" down here that means the vehicle is only good for parts it isnt allowed to be registered for road use.

I'm at work but I get home soon I'll take some snaps!

No problem - glad it worked out for you.

I called Mr. Martinez when I installed the 185mm pulley to see how much it was going to cost me if my SC went boom. He also provided me data on the RPM limits for the nose and rear bearings used on the SC.

Can you tell us how the transaction took place and total $$? What to look for etc...

Kolevski, 28,000 kms is 17,360 miles. Wow that SC,TB, etc. is in really rough condition(cosmetically). I can't imagine how it got to looking like that with so few miles on it. What is all that buildup around the TB lip?

That looks like it is only HALF of the TB mounting gasket. The part has two metal plates with rubber sandwiched in rubber. This proivides a flexible mount and moves the TB mounting holes to square up the TB. Note that the plate on the SC is cocked at an angle. That is what the bottom piece looks like to mount the gasket to the SC. The rest appears to be torn off. I spent a couple of weeks trying to find this part when mine started to separate.

Oh THAT info.

Thought there was something new.

For those of us running the 192 crank pulley (anyone besides me??)

192 / 74 = (2.59) * 6K = 15,567 SC RPM

With Code 3

192 / 65 = (2.95) * 6K = 17,723 SC RPM

The rebuild itself was $1495. As far as what they said was wrong with the s/c, it was a failed pulley bearing and the vibrations from it resulted in the failure of the s/c bearings inside the housing. According to Ed, this was a common issue with the IHI s/c's and seen it happen many times to our Benz counterpart.

Nice to know that PSE delivers at their advertised price. Thats a decent deal at $1,495. What was the turn-around-time?

From this information, it looks like i'll be replacing the bearings on my idler, tensioner and s/c @ 50K miles no matter what... perhaps even change the lube oil in s/c?? Good preventive maintenance..

Thanks for the 411 and let us know how that reman unit holds up...
