It will be fine, but keep in mind its only a couple horses you'll pick up at the top of the rpm's i dont know all your mods but its not a very cost effective mod if you looking for more power.

On the twin-turbo Stealth I used to have, I drilled out the precats myself ... so it can be cost-effective ... and that's about as high-flowing as you can get

Thanks for all your responses guys!!

My plan is to replace the primary cats with hi flow cats (100cpsi) then to remove the secondary cats and replace it with either an X or Y pipe.

Since I've recently found out that the SRT resenator is infact straight through I'll leave that there.

So essentially I should yield some good HP gains, better throttle response and an all round nicer exhaust note.

Kolevski,
Getting rid of the resonator will drop about 20 pounds AND improve your exhaust sound.

Do you think these can be used as back cats on the NA? I'm considering removing my back cats, and was wondering if a hi flow cat is the answer.

After getting an up close and personal look at both the 112 V6 and 113 V8 exhaust manifolds it makes sense why exhaust mods don't yield more than a couple of HP's. The stock exhuast manifolds are very restrictive. While getting my exhaust fitted to my V8, I went removed the unmonitored second cats with straight pipe.

The cats I'm going to use are called Venom they have a metal core and have a heat shield they look very well built, 32krazy those look great but I'm down in Australia might take to long to get them.

Mike removing the resenator will definatly help the exhaust note but I dont think It'l improve hp (as it's straight through) apart from the weight reduction.

Changing up the cats will help the exhaust note and get some hp gains.

I'm doing a dual cai so I'm focusing on helping the car get as much air as it can in and efficently relasing that air without compromising to much of a loss of back pressure (otherwise I'll loose power & torque)

from what i understand the exhaust system should be the last mods that you do because the hp gained is very small compared to the cost involved. headers are needed and are the most expensive running 1000$ and up. the cats and resonaters yield sound inprovement but little hp gains. do a res delete asnd spend the cash for other mods that yield more hp

Here is a site that is making headers and they are actually reasonably priced! $799 for V6 and $1249 for my car. Headers with high flow cats produce some pretty good HP gains.

Yeah I've had him in my favourites for nearly a year! the only thing you can get from him is the damn crank pully! never has headers in stock!

Ok guys back again,

Went to the exhaust shop and the guy is finding it hard to find CATS that fit where the primary cats are!

He put this question to me put straight pipes where the primary cats are and put the hi flows in place of the secondary easy to do...question is will the car run normally? I know it has a sensor just after the primary cat I have no idea what the car will do without a cat there! if anyone has an idea please chime in!
