Mine is only 10ft that may not be enough I will have to research a little more , sure would be nice for storage and service too.

Thanks

10 feet will probably do it but you will need to modify the garage door tracks to allow the door to open higher up. The tracks will need to be extended so they run straighter up the wall before turning.

Good info I've been putting off getting one too because of this reason.

Before anyone spends the money though, measure the height or the two cars from the ground to about 2" above the roof line then add another 4" to that ( thickness of the drive ramp). Total that all up and subtract from your ceiling height. My stacker is a Superior 7000. If you buy a four post one, make sure you get the wheel kit for it. This way it is easy to move around or bring outside.

this is a mod I am working on as well, thanks for your insight on this...I have 10' ceilings, and am working with garage door people now to extend the track up and moving to a wall mounted lift for the door...not sure which car lift to purchase though...I will only store my lawn mower and Harley below my car...so I think I can get by on the height...any thoughts? I too, like the toys. I got to ride a Spyder a few months back...I was picking up a load of 4-wheelers from a dealer, while waiting he offered to let take it for a ride...it is amazing, faster than what I imagined...

My indian is about 50" without the windshield on, and the viper is 46" so that combo would work. Remeber you can always put the car on the lift and then put everything underneath the lift after closing the garage door and placing the car as high up as possible, if you have a two car garage.

Are you ever worried your lift will fail and total both cars (well at least the car on the bottom)?
