Default Shipping a car?

Who here has shipped a car?

Who would you recommend?

More importantly, who WOULDN'T you recommend?

I'm considering getting back into an SRT and will need to have it shipped.
Any help is appreciated!

It will be about 1000 miles total if that makes a difference.

Dude. Fly out and drive it back! (tell 'em Deb!)
My coupe was 500 miles the roadster was 1500 miles away. Cost me a lot less to get it myself AND I got to get acquainted with the cars on the way home!

I have shipped 4 or 5 cars using DAS without problems. I think most car shippers contract out the jobs to individual shippers so it's kinda luck of the draw who you get.

Long story short...I got well acquainted with the car when it left the showroom, up until I had to sell it! Now I've got a chance to get it back

Unfortunately, with my job, it would be tough to get free to pick it up...although that is a possibility. My Wife is also in a bind as she is finishing clinical rotations and is always on call....so she can't leave.

I've heard good and bad about DAS. I'll keep reading up on 'em and see if I can pinpoint the 'bad' causes.

Thanks for the input from your experiences.

I shipped my SRT from western PA to Phoenix, AZ in August, via Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) They were the least expensive, and delivered the vehicle in perfect condition two days ahead of schedule. According to the Chrysler dealer where the car shipment originated, the guy who picked up the car treated it like it was a rare and valuable collectible. Upon arrival I was neither impressed or unimpressed withe the delivery process and personnel, but overall I have no complaints. Good luck!!
