First Time at Track
First I would really like to Thank Thumper who met me out at Orlando Speed World last night. With his help I was able to Improve my runs each time. My first run was a horrid 14.25@104.90 big spin out of the hole. My 4th and final run of the night was 13.06@107.7 . I was really disappointed that I did not break into the 12's but I can't blame the car I need to improve my driving and not go to the track with a full tank. I was suprised how little gas I used between the drive there and my runs I used less than a 1/4 tank. I am ready to get a pulley now just have to decide which way I want to go. Thanks again to Thumper for his help he ran consistent 12.5@109 all night.
Re: First Time at Track
Wish I would have gone with you guys just for the fun of it. Just keep going and practice makes perfect. The high temps is a killer.....At least Chuck has been pretty consistent all summer long until the temps come down for him again. I should be out there come this October for the 1st Funday Sunday event on October 11th. The temps should be decent for Chuck and I to get near that elusive 12.0 mark. I think my car is running much better now that I have the fan mod and the modified Code-3 thermostat. Maybe this will help a little with the heat soak that our cars love so much. Anyways, get the Code-3 pulley if you can since it is the lowest cost and easiest install with fantastic results. Just replacing 1 pulley compared to several with the other kits. Thumper and I both have it and turned 12.1's with it.

I know distantpulse is trying to figure out his tune so maybe weekend after the dragon?

Had a great time. It was nice to meet you, Paul.
DA ranged from about 2000' down to about 1600' (according to dragtimes.com)
Only got 4 runs in since I showed up at about 7pm and there were a couple of track clean-ups. (Hour and a half between runs 3 and 4)
1. 60' 1.905 1/4 12.623@109.42
2. 60' 1.857 1/4 12.530@110.66
3. 60' 1.866 1/4 12.576@109.28
4. 60' 1.952 1/4 12.705@108.98
I was happy to pull those 12.5s in the weather we have here in the summer. Last time I went I was getting 12.7s and 12.8s Track prep was good. I could have launched at a bit higher RPM, but I was a little tentative about that, since it has bitten me in the *** before for trying.
I think I need to save up some money and get the Needswings mani's
Found out that night that there is a new 1/8 mile track in Orlando, somewhere near Seaworld. I don't like running just the 1/8, so I don't know if I'll ever go to check it out. The guy I talked to said the cost to run is the same as OSW ($15), and the track prep was pretty much non-existent.
