max boost?
Re: max boost?
at 25 psi the suppercharger has to spin about 25000 rpm and that will last about 30 min. if my memory serves me right the speed of the SC is, stock 14000+ ,, the sc pully or the 178 will take you to about 16000+ ,,the 181 pully =17000 and the 185 to about 19000 rpm that is anything above 20000 is not good
buy the turbo srt6 and you can have all the boost you want.
some one will have the exact numbers for you there are people running two pullies and are turning the max rpm for the SC don't forget this max is only at wot. jim
the ecu with a tune will not be a problem.

Re: max boost?
The OEM Mercedes MAP sensor is 1.5 BAR or 21.5psi. If you boost higher you will trigger the CEL. Not sure if anyone has put a 2 BAR(30psi) sensor in, or if the ECU can work with one. That being said, because of the size of the OEM supercharger, a 2 BAR sensor would be a waste without an upgraded supercharger(which nobody has done), or a turbocharger(been done once). The reasoning here is like the other guy said, a 185 pulley puts the supercharger in the red zone already so you don't want to spin the supercharger faster than that, so no use for the 2 BAR with a stock supercharger.
Horsepower does not come from boost pressure, it comes from AIRFLOW.
