If you look over at the Forums for the GTM it's average buld time is 1800-2000 hours and with my schedule and touring as often as we are it will probably take a little over a year to complete (At least I'll have time to thiink about paint colors). This should be a fun build and I plan on enjoying every second of it. I'm still deciding on whether to buy a donor corvette or just going with all new aftermarket parts. I'll be lucky if I get this built under $100k.

WOW! I was checking out their site and I didn't realize that you'd have to invest that kind of coin above the $20 grand for the kit. There goes my graduation present to myself!

Damn...too bad, if you had it done by April I'd say you should bring it up to Chicago and rock it in the Eurocharged booth...then again, there is a second show in August.

P.S. I wanna come visit and see the beauty during the build...can't wait man, hell, I'm excited for ya.

When doing the basic kit car from Fatory-Five you will not need very much at all if any if you have a donor car and want to use the donor parts. The big money comes in when you put on the aftermarket parts to hot rod it up more. How much does a fully tricked out Z06 motor and trans cost? Big numbers and Big dollars.

Going from a Factory Five to a FF GTM is a big jump in price...

Its for the true car enthusiast.

So far I have $52000. invested just in the LSX 438ci twin turbo engine, G50-G96 upgraded transaxle built to handle 1000 hp and the GTM kit. I’m probably not going to use a donor car unless I find a real low milage car. The thought of using worn out parts with the amount of power I’ll have available at the wheels just doesn't make sense. All new Parts minus the brakes is another $ 11,000 give or take and don’t forget the Wilwood brakes, body work, paint, interior, wheels and tires, I can option out the kit by adding cold air roof intake, A/C, custom exhaust, Gauges, stereo, seating etc.
I’m afraid to continue…
