As sad as that is, I don't think your car has anything to do with it

I'm down. When do you want to go? I would say let's go on a wednesday, but its an almost 2hr drive for me. We can do any weekend you want...Even though I won't have my DRs I'll still throw down on my street tires. Should be fun.

Especially when I say my car is faster with my 178 than any 185 out there. I always challenge their crew to hit the track and continue to raise the bar for our cars. Sorry I spilled it over to your post. So with all that information above only differences is that EC's pulley has a ton of pieces inside including a clutch and the ASP has no pieces, just the pulley. Splinters 178 from evosport is another option. Not sure the cost though.

I got a chance to line up against Evan last year at Famoso with my 185 LET pullied car and he kicked my *** down the 1320. Now he was on Hoosier DRs and I was on my Nitto street tires.............but even my traps(which tell the cars true potential) weren't anywhere near his cars. If I remember correctly he trapped 118.xx against my 114.xx.

My buddy Chris is shooting for a weekend in Nov, for the private rental day. Seems the owner (ATCO) is on Vacation this week so I should have a date to post soon. It will be 15 slots total I have about 7 MB forum guys already interested providing Nov works for them. Yea I'll be running on Toyo proxes street tires.

I was more thinking like two weeks. Like the weekend of the 19th.

By November I hope to have about another half dozen track days under my belt.

I think I may go to Island Dragway this friday for street legal night. Maybe. Not sure.

We haven't machined down a pulley to its limit, nor do we think there is enough material to go down to be equal to a 178. Our machinist did see we had at least a good 5-7mm more, about 62-64mm total.

Hey that reminds me I got vid of you against wagonboy. I shrinked it down to be able play on your phone with windows media player. I'll email it to you. Are you planning on going again this year? This time we'll swap cars. I didn't want to waste my money with the Nittos, but I had a chance to drive an E55 with Nitto's on it. I ran an 11.88 on a so so day, and have a new respect for them. Just need a little more warming up, than the hoosiers.

My car's timeslips do all the talking for me. That's why I bag on you because you talk about parts you haven't even tested. I've not only tested, but beat my parts up and then beat them up some more. If any of the parts failed I'd be on here talking about their failure too. Hope you get the group together. If your ever in AZ come on by.

How do you know what I've tested?? You mean, you assume I haven't tested it because I haven't posted time slips.

You beat your parts up, Dude it is a pulley and Needswings intake. Neither part will be suffering damage from the most extreme racing, a block of steel and a 3" tube, it isn't like you built a tranny or something. I'll be back in Az friends in Tuscon.

cruzinquick,
Kindly forgive my previous post’s inappropriate tone. Had some Napa Valley grape in me prior to sharing the rambling diatribe.
Certainly didn’t intend for this thread to evolve as a hate fest toward anyone.

To those of us involved in the hot rodding hobby, it’s the timers’ quantifiable numbers which separate the pretend-o-boys from the straight shooters.
We know the group to which you belong.

Carry on gentlemen…

Hoping to get a tune before I go up to the second annual Arizona meet with Evan and the MB folks in Phoenix this year.
Yo E. When are we going?

I'm not gonna waste my time going down there again since I still have no trailer so that I can run on my new drag setup. I went out tonight in 100* weather and 5000DA and still beat up my times at Famoso with 1600DA and the Nittos. I managed a 12.24@113.75 with a 1.79 60' with a half tank of gas and a hot s/c. This IS the year I will get into the damn 11's(even if I have to steal someone elses timeslip). lol
