My wife and I are going to Ramono Cali for the week 9/5 thru 9/12. Looking for any good suggestion for day cruzes?

OK, we are pretty pathetic here in So Cal when it comes to meets. However, I'm game for doing something and there may be another or two who will show up.

As for a cruise, LA destinations are not a good idea right now due to the fires. We did have a meet that ran to Julian last year, another run out there won't hurt. A Borrego run was also kicked about but it will be hot and I doubt if you want to go out to the desert after driving across it to get to Ramona.

A meet this weekend is really short notice, and I don't think the 12th would work out well since you are leaving that date. So....why don't you let me know what you would like to do on what day. If you would rather just get together for lunch this coming weekend, or even a late dinner during the week then we can plan on that. If you want to do a run, then please let me know what day will work best and we will see what us So Cal folk can come up with. Please let me know and I'll post the specifics in the West forum and hopefully a couple of members can show up.

 

I understand the short notice. This was last minute time share deal. I guess we only have two options, meet for breakfast/lunch on Sunday and then go for cruz or meet for lunch during the week. We are up for anything. We are on vac. It would be a shame to drive to Cali without meeting other XF lovers. Please give suggestion, and we will let you know. If you can't swing it, a good cruz suggestion would be great.

 

Lunch during the week is a no go with me due to work. A late Sun breakfast/early lunch is probably best since it would be easier to eat then drive then finding a destination to drive to and then finding a place to eat at said destination.

I'm thinking that meeting in Ramona and then heading out for a quick drive to Julian or Lake Henshaw would work best. I'm sure with the 3 day weekend plans have already been made and a half day drive would be easier to slip in then a full day one. But, this is your vacation and if you'd rather meet up in San Diego then by golly that's what we will do.

Brent, my plans have changed already. That is why I usually have to wait till the last minute. We will not be able to leave till Sunday afternoon. Sorry about that.. Thanks for showing interest and trying to hook up. Really appreciate it.
