178mm needswings pulley is installed. need a help
I have just installed crank asp pulley, and I am a little bit confused, because, first I try to drive it seems belt slip, cause in kick down rmp getting higher but not torque, my question can belt it slip cause I put 178mm, and I should install wrap kit from code 3 or not, I had driven it for 4 hours after everything become to be ok, I started to many times drive in kick down regime from 0-262 km per hour when I noticed torque lost and got “check engine” symbol . Next day I go to work shop and found “The gauge of an inlet collector” error what could it be L may be too much air that my c32 could not handle? I have erased that mistake now and it seems by every hour driving car get more powerful, I have g timer from Canada gotten from ebay my best 0-60 ml/h is 4.42c and ¼ mile is 13.1 sec. now I got some question, where should connect the manometer to know my best Boost, secondary I want to know if there is a possibility to have detonation then 178 pulley is installed without ecu tune and run on 91 octane or on 89 octane fuel ?,
P.S
in the Instruction, how to install, that came with the pulley kit, where was written that I should take off the harmonic damping mechanism I did not find it just except OEM Mercedes crank pulley that I took off and put 178 asp instead, and else there was said I must not reuse “dust cover/washer” when install pump pulley I did not find it where as well L, all I took off are oem crank pulley, oem idler and pump pulleys. That is all.

So you did install all three pulleys that came with the kit? Also did you do a throttle reset? No you shouldn't get any belt slip with the 178 and no you shouldn't have any detonation with the 178 and no tune. I ran for 6 months with a Needswings intake and ASP 178 kit and no tune, and everything was fine. Car was running very rich the whole time. Definitely will feel a huge difference when you get a tune. Just make sure to do the throttle reset and let the ECU start learning your new habits.

My belt is slipping very badly with my 178 with about 19k on the belt. I'm pretty sure the cause was a little oil either leaked or was spilled on my belt and pulleys which pretty much nuked my belt. I will be cleaning my pullies off today and installing a new belt today along with pulley saver kit hopefully this gets rid of any belt slip on my 178 pulley.
Stick your hand down in there and feels some of the pulleys and see if they are covered in grim and oil like mine were.

What are you going to use to monitor your boost? I would recommend a datalogger with a laptop to see a graph of your runs. Once you get a baseline then you won't need to hook it back up unless you do additional mods or car starts to run different. With the zietronix you can get the o2 sensor, and boost sensors as optional equipment but recommended. Heres the Zietronix I have. Datalogger from Needswings with o2 sensor included and here is the Boost Sensor.
To your dampner question. The ASP 178 is the only crank pulley available that is a harmonic dampner. It's because a factory crank pulley is used to make the ASP 178. There is a old discussion that a crank pulley needs this for our motors. One half one way the other half the other way.
Re: 178mm needswings pulley is installed. need a help
surely run 91oct if that available for you, is that the highest you can easily get over there?
yes the car will get quicker as the ecu calibrates. the throttle reset isnt necessary but will speed up the calibration process. disconnect the negative battery terminal for 30 minutes and then reconnect.
for the boost gauge signal you will need to make a port for it, there is no factory vacuum line that can easily be tapped into. you will need to remove either a intake manifold plenum or the ypipe feeding them and add a vac port to it for the gauge. if you get stuck on that we can make you up one of our ported/polished/coated ypipes with a vac port in it waiting for you.

about throttle reset i did it but differenly, the method there need to push accererate pedal in floor for 5 sec....." is the Core same with "disconnect the negative battery terminal for 30 minutes and then reconnect. " ?

i havent tried that way to do the reset but i imagine it would do the same thing on your c32

hello, i called to inmotion tune and ask them to tune my car they told me where i was located i said in the Republic Azerbaijan and i can send by email my ecu file program for them to tune, they answer me they do not want their file be slolen, and do not answer for my calling them any longer ((

However, it would be quite an expensive deposit and shipping costs, as well as quite an expensive phone call while they were doing the tuning remotely. It is definitely worth a shot. Greg at Eurocharged can help you with any questions you may have, send him an email and he'll see what he can do.

at inmotion site written that they have to ways of tune one of them is as you told to send them my ecu and second is "We have two tuning methods to choose from. Make a refundable deposit and we will mail you an OBD Flashing Tool that you use with your laptop." is not this the same i wanted them to do?
