Default I lost the race but...

I took the Aero out to Woodburn today and we had great weather and a good track. I didnt have the car warmed up good or the tires for the first run and ran a 12.5 sec @ 111.7mph. The second rund was better and no spinning tires and warm engine. Ran a 12.07sec @ 114mph.
Third race I was running a old Nova that was pretty fast, I lost the race BUT I did run 11.99seconds @ 113.9mph!!! Here is the video.

YouTube - Nova vs SRT6

The next run was against an old Chevy Impala that ran 16 seconds. I beat him by a little at 11.96seconds @ 113.9mph. Here is the video of that one.

YouTube - SRT6 vs Chevy Impala...

I also beat a SRT8 Super Bee that was supposedly runing at 12.0 seconds but my son didnt get the video of that one. That was the 12.07 second run. Happy, happy, happy! Here are the time slips for the 11's. Sorry they are sideways. The stupid system size limits are @^$#!@%#&^

Great runs man! And that is especially impressive considering its August. I guess the dual Needswings intake gave you the edge you needed to crack into the 11's.

My 60' times were all in the 1.7's except the first run of 12.5secs, that was 1.9.
I was running the MT ET Streets on VOXX MG 17x8 wheels and my gas was about 100 octane(2 gals 104 + 1 gal 92).
Temperatures were in the mid to high 60's!! Humidity was around 80%. The DA was 76' above seal level at 9:00am and 294' at noon.

On my 5th run I ran a 12.06 @ 113mph and threw a check engine light. The DTC was for Max Absolute Pressure error. When I checked the stored readings I found that I had hit 70.1 inHg which is right at 20psi. I did this once last year too. I figured I was bumping up there because I was popping my dipstick out slightly and gettinga little oil blow out on the 2nd and 3rd race, even with my dipstick clip. I put a tie wrap on snug for race 4 and 5 and no blowby. I will put a new O-ring on when I change my oil this week.
I wonder if the ECU pulled things back any when I hit the MAP error and kept me out of the 11's on that run? hmmmmmm....

Congrats Mike welcome to our elusive club. That's about 5 or six of us now? Man your killing me with that DA. That's 11.6's if I could get some of that stuff. Went out last week for fun with 5150' DA and barely went 12.91, lol. Get out there again, you should have an 11.7 in there.
Cruzinquick

edit: I was looking at your vids and noticed your mph is way low. Pure speculation but either your ecu is pulling timing and your slowing down on the mid and top end or that's all your tune has. That has to be one of the lowest DA runs with that many mods. Your times up the 1/8th mile were almost exact on my 11.89 runs, then your times slow down.

Evan,
I will talk to Jerry about the tune. I got a Zietronix from J-Fire but I have to have a bung welded in. Then I can do some logging and see what is going on. I think I am going to do a port and polish on the TB, plenum and manifold intakes this fall and see if I can get a little more out of it. Maybe wrap the SC while I have it out. Not much else I can do without spending lots of $$$$$. Besides, I still drive it to work and around town.

How many more weeks of super duper weather do you have left this season? Could be as simple as the good air gave you more torque for that great 1/8th mile times. Be safe and datalog, I paid $60 bucks at Midas to get the bung installed. The install of the wires are pretty easy and there is a nice pass through under the ecu right into the cabin. Mine is pretty stealth. I'm still jealous of you DA. The MB guys are planning famoso possibly in November. It would be great to see you there. Have fun and be safe.
