>The SRT-6 Bumpers are here< Just picked up my new bumper. Take a pickup with you to haul it. It's well packed. Made in Germany 1-15-2010. Part number> 5159185-AA List for $427.00 at the dealer. I buy alot of parts from the dealer and they let me have it for $320.25 + North Carolina tax of $26.42. Out the door total was $346.67. Get-um while you can. Squirrel Crusher
Re: SRT-6 Front bumper national back order
I played around with some plastic welding on my Ranger back in the day, bumper repair. Works well.
Soward;
For those of us that don't have an existing SRT bumper to play with, what is the best channel about getting our hands on one? I'd assume just go down to my dealer and order one, but Beaman Dodge (closest to me) is pretty incompetent when it comes to anything other than ink on a contract.
Having said that, I trust your judgment and your ability to stay in the know, seeing as you're a fellow Crossfire fan... If we were to place an order for an SRT bumper, and hop on the everlasting waiting list, would our order eventually reach the shores of Europe and be processed? At one point I heard someone say that there were over a hundred people on the national back-order, yet there are only thirty~ish bumpers crossing the pond. What happens to the other sixty? Screwed till next year's run of thirty bumpers?
If pre-paying and "filing in line" works, I'll soon be taking this route. I dislike the high chin of the Limited bumper, and even if they're producing them in bite-sized quantities, at least they're still being produced. It's not an emergency for me, so I'd like to order one soon before I truly NEED one asap. Lord knows there are enough crazy drivers, the odds aren't great for this car.
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide. If nothing else, I'll put out an APB for all the salvage yards in my area and keep cash in-hand for when one pops up. But I'd REALLY prefer to buy factory fresh, seeing as they (used to) cost ~$260. I just need to know if our order stands a chance of getting filled within two years.
Thanks man,

Re: SRT-6 Front bumper national back order
So what would happen if we all ordered bunch of parts they didn't have in? Would they be obligated to fulfill the orders? We could get some of the body panels around if we all place orders for them provided they don't make us pay for them up front... then there would actually be some around when people actually need them.
Re: SRT-6 Front bumper national back order
I have noticed that that chrysler usually keeps stock of there own but on body parts for crossfires they don't or have quit I think the only reason they have hard parts is because they come from mercedes and theres a steady flow there but body parts in my opinion are going to get harder to find....

Re: SRT-6 Front bumper national back order
Chrysler warehouse in Detroit has 32, minus the one I ordered today.

My huge box has a UPS/AIR label on it. That had to cost someone. Maybe that's why the bumper cost more. They just sneaked the shipping charges to me? Anyway,purchased from Keffer Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Charlotte,N.C. Phone..704 532-2025. www.kefferjeep.com Squirrel Crusher
